short around the sides and back, slightly long at the top and then gel it and brush it back. Add a fake braid, and there you go, easy. Unless you want the ponytail too...good luck on that one...unless you grow a mullet ;)

If you want his Episode 3 hair...then grow it long ;)

What's wrong with mullets? lol j/k

It's a good thing that the Episode I Obi-Wan briad was more of a dirty blond color than the brown, it works better for Anakin than Obi-Wan in my opinion.

no clue on the ponytail thing he has? as it is my bf is gonna wear a costume sometime eventually just cuz i asked him about it nice nice, but i don't think he'd grow his hair out just for one occasion.
we talked about about perhaps short term home done hair extensions, but i have No idea how that process works, not in the slightest ---------> i would Not mind learning though!! =) as i am already learning quite a bit in deciding to leap into the world of costuming =P

H.C. also has a natural curl to his hair. When short, they styled it so it would stand up. It'd be sorta difficult to get your hair to do the wavy/curly thing if it doesn't want to. Curling iron or curlers would probably work. The trick is to not make the curls tight.
I happen to have that natural wavy/curl crap and I don't like it. Actually it's nice on other peoples heads. I just don't like dealing with it. And OI! the mess it is after a ride on my motorcycle.

Thanks jada_marnew! I could've sworn I replied to this before, must've been a similar topic.
Anyway, I just had mine cut shorter on the sides than on the top. All you have to do is supply your hairdresser with some good pics of Anakin, if they're competent enough they'll manage fairly well. Mine was even able to bleach and dye mine to a matching color (my hair is a very dark brown naturally). Also, since I had longer hair before the cut, I had her leave the ponytail in the back.
With the braid, all you need is some fake hair. It doesn't even have to be the expensive real hair, mine was cheap and it worked. Just have someone braid it for you, wrap a few colored rubber bands around it (Primrodo's gonna disagree with me there), then attach it with extension glue.
Overall, it looked great and I received many, MANY compliments on it along with the rest of the costume. With canon characters, every bit of detail helps.

    LOL Danakin :p

If you mean because the actual coloured bands are embroidery floss, well then... ;)

Its not a hard hair style really, you can even get a fake pony tail made :)

    You're the only one that would ever notice the difference, man. 8-}

All I know is that little colored rubber bands are easier to find, (probably) cheaper and easier to put on.

Embriodery floss is pretty cheap, all you'd need to spend is about 2 bucks, and its at most craft stores :)

As for ease of putting in...you wrap around a few times and tie a tight knot and trim :)

    Easy Peesy ;)

As for me noticeing...I'm just super picky when it comes to accuracy...Just ask Rein One and Lgtsbr, or any member of my Fanforce :)

Yeah, I'm pretty picky myself. But my Episode II costume was pretty underpar for my standards. I pretty much gave up on too much accuracy.

Now my Episode III costume will be a different story...
