The speech. She was talking about Maarva’s speech.

I think Maarva's speech might be intended to foreshadow Galen's holo to Jyn in Rogue One, which starts with his love for Jyn, before moving onto the need to fight the Empire. Like Maarva, Galen has had to face up to the truth of the Empire and find a way to undermine it.

Maarva's death also foreshadows Galen's - Cassian and Jyn are both separated from their parents by circumstances, although Jyn gets a chance to say goodbye before Galen dies.

The crescent of the Rebel Alliance symbol in the titles looks like shots of the crescent Death Star in Rogue One.

Can't be bothered to elaborate right now, but a truly excellent episode to cap off an equally excellent series. I love seeing facists terrified for their lives at the hands of the very people they're oppressing. Brilliant stuff.

I hope we keep getting pieces of Nemik's manifesto next season.

That’s another thing I loved about the episode: the spontaneous rebellion on Ferrix rendered the master-planning Luthen a spectator. He can’t control this thing. The Empire’s extreme oppression, as he in part knows and strategized about, is now going to precipitate rebellious movements that he has little control or visibility over. This episode was all about that. Organizing and political master-planning is important for a revolution, but so are the acts of ordinary people deciding, autonomously, that enough is enough. A lesser show would have given him some kind of huge melodramatic moment of either heroism or folly. This show has him simply and quietly process what’s happening here and in the galaxy, heading back to his ship, and then taking un Cassian. Subtle, confident writing. Couldn’t have asked for more.

I can’t wait for the soundtrack, I loved the song that the bands played. The whole funeral scene was amazing.

I finally caught up this weekend and while I thought the season started out slow (really good overall but a bit slow), the last few episodes have been nothing but amazing.

My favorite line of Cassian’s came in the last episode: I would rather die fighting them than die giving them what they want.

I agree with those who said that Maarva’s hologram speech was one of the best in Star Wars, up there with Jyn’s speech in Rogue One and Luke’s Crait speech in TLJ.

I do wish they could have left in a “**** the Empire!” line.

Syril and Dedra—his obsession is creepy and if she reciprocates, it would set up an ‘I didn’t think the leopards would eat MY face’ scenario from someone who joined the leopards-eating-faces party long before. Pop popcorn and try to decide who should destroy whom first.

    10 and higher/10 for me.

Fantastic finale, absolutely love the tension build-up of so many moving characters drawing together towards a beautiful funeral scene whch sparked into pure chaos ignited by one helluva dying speech. Brasso's *SMACK* attack of the year (YEAH!), the beginning of a twisted friendship/relationship, the pure raw subltelty & subtext of both of Mon's scenes with Luthen's stunned look in response to the massacre symbolising it all.

Lastly, get your stinking boot off B2 you damn dirty Imp!

I believe we now have a better understanding of why Cassian elected to spare Jyn's father and certainly his rationale for being Jyn's co-captain in the final mission. He lost his sister and eventually both of his adoptive parents. He felt dead inside, and that's why he offered to either work for Luthen or be slain by him. He views himself as a dead man walking, and Jyn was the first person to make him feel authentically alive again. It makes sense why he was willing to die for her. Honestly, this makes me like Cassian even more. My main favorite characters of R1 are Jyn, followed by Baze, Chirrut, and K2. Now, however, Cassian is higher on the list.

    I gave this 10/10.

This wall all we needed and then some. I think the battle scenes were great at the end. You really felt the stakes and it was cool seeing how Cassian finally goes more or less all in with the Rebellion. His mother's call to arms as well was a very powerful moment to instigate the battle. Now it seemed the battle had 2 phases, first with the Empire on the defensive, and conversely the Rebellion on the offensive but it all flowed seamlessly..

I'm glad Bix was rescued and got to kill her captor. The pure chaos was captured well. As far as that goes I was sure Dedra was going to get killed.

Mon's arc ended suitably as well.

Honestly, I might need to binge this again. There was so many hushed quiet moments over the show I'm sure I missed some things. Overall I liked it though.

Showing his emotional connection to his father, who died an untimely death, now adds an undoubtedly deep layer to his decision to not assassinate Galen. Can’t wait to rewatch RO.

And, of course, his connection to his mother.

This was an excellent conclusion to an excellent season. This show is just so good, it's far and away my favorite SW series. Really looking forward to season 2.

Also, as others have mentioned above... that narration by Nemik reading from his manifesto is just incredible, as is Maarva's hologram recording message.

The only charactor in Star Wars who should be allowed to say the F-bomb is Mace Windu.

    Rewatch Andor on Wed mornings.
The best part of that scene is how his father teaches him about waste, and reusing what is there. It's a philosophy that the entire rebellion will embrace. And it further emphasizes the destructive greed of the Empire, and it's inefficiency. It consumes more and more, while ignoring the wastefulness and unnecessary devastation it causes. Both in resources and people. When all that's needed is to care and to put in the effort.

It’s been confirmed now that instead of Maarva saying fight the empire she was supposed to say “**** the empire”

I think fight works better. And I am not against the use of the f word in Star Wars

I think fight the Empire is more meaningful than saying **** the Empire. Star Wars first f-bomb is only a matter of time. Not against it if it's used in a great line.

I believe the shot of the Death Star being constructed at the end is meant to be the closest parallel with the opening titles.

Almost like they’re setting the stage for “some kinda Star Wars”, so to speak, twin suns, the dawn of the rebellion vs the dawn of the Death Star.

This was very realistic. The Empire was a bunch of competitors in the old EU. This was similar to that, but it was more unified. More realistically totalitarian and dangerous. Numerous and so on.

But these were human people like we'd see in the V for Vendetta comic. It makes ya think.

I've touched on this before but one of the nice things about Andor being more grounded is that there were fewer visual effects/special effects moments that looked off. People flying around with jet packs, the dark saber, the Vespa scooters, Vader grabbing a spaceship with the Force. It all looked a little rough around the edges. Andor didn't really have those moments and I'm betting that the upcoming shows will.
