Andor Andor Episode 1.12 (Season Finale!!) Discussion Thread (Spoilers Allowed)

Honestly, Mon Mothma was badass in this. I look forward to her and Andor meeting in Season 2. But her kid is just a 13-year-old. She ain't evil. She's just lonely and wants to talk with her mom. But the dad is a prick. I never imagined that Mon's husband in the old EU was like this. Mon was trained in politics originally in the EU, and it's like she was fully formed to be the perfect moon goddess we saw her in ROTJ. The truth is that the nitty gritty Mon we see in this canon is more interesting. But don't get me wrong. Mon Mothma and Bail Organa without dispute saved the galaxy by putting that alliance together. Love them in both canons.

And honestly, let's be real about it. Mon is amazingly shrewd. She learned from Palpatine and is emplying his Palatine-esque tactics against him. It's adroit. It's badass. It's eclectic. It's glorious. And it's morally ambiguous. That's why I like her methodology. I think she and her daughter will see eye to eye later.

And Cassian is pretty cool. He would get Mon Mothma right off the bat. Cassian is streetsmarts. Mon Mothma is Senate smarts. Plain and simple.

 

I rewatched this episode yesterday and wow…
Maarva’s speech is fantastic. Such a great speech and scene

 

That episode is my to go watch when I need courage to raise my head!
I could break the world at the moment Maarva says "Fight the Empire!"

 

I honestly don't think I've ever been that emotionally moved watching Star Wars (well, at least not since the Kino Loy can't swim scene). Just a beautiful scene. And a nice counterpoint to those fans who claim Andor is too cynical or grimdark. There's real, tangible hope and heroism in this thing.

 

Been rewatching today... still so so good

 

I think I’ll start another rewatch soon.

Just seen the footage looks really good and intense, think they should gave released it like skeleton crew just to show there is something for everyone

 

This is the last week of my vacation (which has been taken over by moving and numerous other chaotic events), so I really should rewatch Andor S1.

Looks like Saw might use D'Qar for his Cavern Angel's X-Wing squadron.

 

Who said that? The “green with low hills” base shown in the trailer looks to be the one Saw’s group is on in season 1 of Andor. Which isn’t D’Qar.

 

Different looking shoot then that base and looks very like D'Qar base.
