    So good!
Fantastic scene between Dedra and Luthen.
Great actress for young Kleya: straightforward, stern, and abrupt just like we've always known her.
I want to know more about the battle Luthen was in when he found Kleya.
Love Kleya's infiltration of the med building.
RIP Luthen: one of the best Star Wars characters ever.

Definitely not how I expected Luthen to go. That was devastating. Love the relationship between him and Kleya even more now.

Poor Lonni, a true rebel to the end.

Dedra was so cocky and that was ultimately her downfall

Hard to tell, but I think the soldier looking for Luthen in the early flashbacks was holding an Imperial Heavy repeater

At least it was characters that were in the show, unlike Mando showing up in BOBF.

Y'know I was like "Oh no, Luthen is going to die in that dumb wig." When Dedra showed up and then she called out his ridiculous wig ahaha, Dedra is the best. But he passed properly not wearing that dumb wig, not for lack of trying! I guess the medics removed it when he was undergoing treatment

i guess the dumb wig Is part of his cover? Luthen knows how to spot a fake.

    Freaking what?

I love this show. So many twists and turns. It is just so hard to predict what is going to happen at any moment.

I did not expect Lonni to go down straight off the bat and then for Luthen to go down unprepared really, so out of character but the dialogue, man I love the dialogue.

'The rebellion isn't here anymore, its out there. You're too late.'

Also, I just realised (it took me a while because it was so good), Andor himself wasn't in this episode.

Luthen always knew he wouldn't make it out. But he never planned to let Kleya go down with him.

And that fact that he could trust her to finish the job, in more ways than one, really shows how great this relationship was.

I also love the subtext we don't get. After Ghorman, it's clear Dedra came unhinged. With Syril dead, she threw herself into finding Axis and scavenged every scrap she could- going against all protocols to do it. She botched the capture because of her ego.

But perhaps the biggest takeaway is how her actions didn't just take her down. She took down her fellow supervisors and Partagaz. She burned it all down to stop Luthen- and she still failed.

I’m halfway through, and my God, Dedra is totally radicalized.
    She doubled down after Ghorman.
    scary.

Finally, an episode without sterilized characters and interactions.

I rate this with a 10, the first and only 10 I will give to an Andor episode in Season 2.

Highly emotional, passionate, realistic, human, and pivotal to the fate of major characters.

Loved every second of it, with the exception of Luthen killing Lonni. He could absolutely have taken him somewhere safe with his family, but also there was no reason at all to mention the word "Yavin" to him if he was going to kill him. He could have made up a planet. Nevertheless, I won't take that 10/10 away just for one bad scene. I know that Luthen has killed innocent people in the name of the greater cause in the past, but that was idiotic and made him look like trash.

    ^^ I concur about Lonni.

does anyone have a good rationalization for that? I’m failing to find one. Little disappointed in Luthen.

I think that it wanted to reinforce the idea that Luthen is at this point of the Rebellion unhinged, and will take zero risks with everything and anything. Of course we already knew that, but it made Luthen look like Saw. Lonni did not know about Yavin, and Kleya and Luthen are now burned, so Luthen could have simply just ignored Lonni or made empty promises. No matter which way you look at it, killing him was an easy contrivancy, one of many across those last three episodes IMO, because "we have to be gritty and dark and morally ambiguous and show good people do bad things". This is why I will always rate Rogue One so much higher than Andor.

He realized that it would have been hard to get Lonni to Yavin (he failed to get there himself) and was afraid that Lonni would give up crucial information in case he was captured.

Luthen always played the high percentages and the high percentage play was to take him out. The low percentage play was getting out. Lonni himself said they were coming for him and Luthen TODAY.

Lonni is compromised. They suspect the Empire is closing in on Luthen but they know for 100% sure they’ll be on to Lonni almost immediately. There’s not enough time to save everyone, in fact as it turns out there’s barely enough time to get the important things taken care of even with sacrificing Lonni and himself. It’s basically the same situation as Cassian in Rogue One. The chance of escape has to be weighed against the chance of torture and catastrophic information leak. There’s really only one outcome of those calculations.
