I think the highest rating I gave an episode in season 1 was 22,000/10 but this was easily 35,000/10 holy crap I can’t believe this show exists

I’m gonna be a little party pooper and say I wasn’t as into the last arc. I feel like the series absolutely peaked creatively in the massacre arc and while this was still very good, we just went into “speedrunning into Rogue One” territory.

Absolutely stuck the landing. Every scene was great. Seeing the rebel leaders, seeing Perrin just moving on and never changing while Mon and Vel continue the good fight. Seeing Krennic observing his baby while seeing Bix with her actual baby was great.

I think most of us saw Bix having Cassian's child coming. I almost wish there was a way to link him to Poe but there is just no way given the timeline of Poe's parents.

I will say, that while I expected Bix to survive after last week, I was very surprised that so many characters did survive: Dedra, Vel, Melshi, Kleya, and most especially Wilmon.

I now really want a "Rebellion" series with Mon Mothma, Vel, Melshi, Wil, and Bix and her son all working together while the movies happen. What other critical missions happened while Luke and Leia were off fighting? What else don't we know- could we one day see how those Bothans died to bring the Rebellion news of Palpatine's arrival on the second Death Star?

If Tony Gilroy and this cast want to do more, let them.

Melshi is in Rogue One so his survival shouldn’t come as a surprise.

The only way this has a real impact is they never show up ever again and they live a happy life Cassian died for.

I wonder if Kleya is gonna be retconned as Toryn Farr the communications officer from Empire Strikes Back.

So, Kleya is Andor's sister, right?

The little girl calling for Cass in the last flashback was the same actress as young Kleya?

    edit: nvm, it isn't.

Unfortunately, this was a very weak season and series finale for me.

The first half was amazing, since K2SO steals the show, but after that it went downhill. Trying to portraying the members of the Rebellion on Yavin as borderline hateful and villainous was a joke. The skepticism towards Cassian's intelligence could have been shown so much better. The last scene with Bix was kinda nice.

K2SO was frightening. ISB dweeb really went down in a horrifying way.

It was nice for Kleya to see what they had built, even if it wasn't perfect.

Unless you haven’t seen Rogue One, this is disrespectful to my GOAT Melshi’s role in saving the galaxy on Scarif

Deadset, that closing shot of Bix smiling when she is about to be given another massive gut punch in Rogue One.

This show + Rogue One is better than the OT, there I said it.

    "Who's Kleya? " -- Admiral Raddus

He's like someone who shows up to a TV show watch party, but doesn't know any of the characters. He does his best to catch up, though. Besides, he values the company of his friends more than the show's plot, anyway. He's just glad to be there. Plus, he's been too busy Admiralling to watch much TV.

I was really looking forward to Saw's final arc... good show nonetheless... but ANH will always be my favorite Star wars ever.

When all the hype dies down, they'll dissect this like a lab rat... and some will say they should have gone with 5 seasons, but if this show is successful by the numbers, I believe we'll get spin-offs. Kleya and so forth...

The Empire is constantly destroying itself. Most of the imperial characters we were introduced to were undone by the hunt for Axis before it was over.

Dedra ended up with a fate similar to how Syril’s started but she actually is in jail and not just kicked out.

Almost everyone else ended up dead.

What a tense and satisfying trio of episodes. What an excellent end to the series.

the image of K2 holding a lifeless Heert as the Sergeant fires shots into him, will never be scrubbed from my mind.
    What a horrifying visual.

Thankfully K2 provided some much needed levity =D= “I’ve cleared a path” [face_laugh]

This last arc was just a prequel to Rogue one, maybe we'll get a Mon Mothma and Bail Organa spin-off.

I am also moderately disappointed be the last episode. It felt a bit rushed and strange in some places.

That said, of course, overall I absolutely loved this season.

I’m forever a Han fan, but Cassian is inching up to surpassing him as my favorite Rebel Alliance “bad boy” …

    I can’t believe I just said that. [face_relieved]

There’s no doubt in my mind that Dedra is building parts for the second Death Star, and I refuse to listen to anyone who says otherwise.

Why would anyone doubt this. She's probably on Narkina, the prison seems identical to the one Andor was in.

EDIT: Oh I just saw you said 2nd Death Star. Nah.

The scene with K2SO having a human shield was phenomenal

Depends on if they want to make it canon that Palpatine wanted more than one Death Star from the jump instead of construction starting after the first. Personally I don't think it makes a whole lot of sense to make a backup Death Star in the circumstances of the film. The Death Star was meant to be the invincible ultimate weapon that would put the any Rebellion on it's knees, it's the weapon you'd only need to fire one or two times, it's the weapon that made them confident they wouldn't need to bother with the pretenses of a senate. A second one is a ton of resources and effort for what would ultimately be a redundancy, and if the destruction of the first one was even on the table, the whole point is lost. It would make infinitely more sense to be spending that effort on making the Death Star harder to destroy in the first place and they were confident the Death Star didn't need anymore protection, why even bother with a second one?

To be fair to the team, they did amazingly well with the finale given that they were very limited by the proximity to Rogue One. They didnt have an event climax to work with so they went the ESB route with an emotional ending, and one that makes you immediately want to watch Rogue One.
