Andor Andor Season 2 Discussion (Spoliers Allowed)

I know hindsight is 20/20...but I can't help thinking how good it would have been to have characters (that were wasted in other shows IMO) like Palpatine,Vader and Boba Fett in this show instead! That would have been awesome.

Vader in Rogue One was one of the only times I feel a character from the OT was complimented by another appearance...not miss-used.

I wouldn't really want to see any of those characters in the show. Boba Fett doesn't really have a place in this, and the Emperor and Vader are way too high in the food-chain to deal with what so far is some lowly rebellious activity. Right now we are still in the "the Imperials don't really see any coordinated effort" stage, and the rebellion itself isn't even all that close to existing yet. You don't want Vader to chase down the heroes unless it becomes an actual threat to the Empire, and right now no one is more than a meaningless annoyance.With the time jumps between the arcs in the next season we could eventually get there, but I don't think we will get much of Vader prior to Rogue One.

With the Emperor I guess you could get him involved in the politial storyline around Mon Mothma, maybe have him dissolve the senate at the end of the show, but right now it's to early to do anything but namedrop him.

 

The one story beat that could make sense is if Andor / the rebellion come across Phoenix squad / a rogue Jedi they then try and save / Andor becomes part of 'The Way' or comes across it but the issue with any of these would be to not make them feel shoehorned in. It could be done but does it need to be or more to the point, would being in force wielders actually be detrimental to the realism intent of this show?

 

The Rebellion needs to become known as the Rebellion, even by farmboys on planets furthest away from the bright centre of universe.

But it also needs to be recognised as an organised Rebellion by the Empire. Eventually, a single entity that can be swept away in a day long remembered by Tarkin and Vader.

So we might see more of that formation going on. I do think we will get closer to the top. Vader apperance, maybe, or those DS1 dudes, but not Palpatine - he is untouchable until ESB.

 

I think a Tarkin appearance could very well happen. Vader I can't see. I don't think there's any need for him, TBH.

 

Of all the legacy characters we could see are. Krennic, Tarkin, Maz Amedda and Palpatine.

 

And Organa, in fact he is the most likely of all of them.

I've been there! I wonder if they're going to use the opera house that appeared in Westworld? It does look super futuristic/sci-fi.

 

I've been thinking that could just get a mention or brief dialogue within the ISB. In any case, I think it would be a nice connection to make, if anything because of the tonal difference.

Since Valencia has a mix of both old and new architecture, I wonder if they might use it as a location shoot for multiple planets?

 

Season 2 should definitely have some humor since I read that Tudyk is confirmed to be reprising his role as K2SO.

I sort of foresee a character arc in Mon Mothma similar to Walter White - by the series finale, she will have realized that “violence is necessary” and send Cassian to kill Luthen

 

This series can't come out soon enough... Bring back SW that isn't immature and written by children

I think Krennic appearing in Season 2 could work as well perhaps.
