I'm pretty sure they don't change her going to Dantooine. They mention her being escorted by Gold Squadron and giving another speech, but she's clearly not on Yavin when she gives her second speech so we have no reason to believe she's not giving it over Dantooine as depicted in Rebels. In fact, they go out of their way to ensure that the plot of "Secret Cargo" remains unchanged, we just now know more of the backstory. Including the fact that Cassian/Luthen are erased from the public story so the Alliance can get a cleaner win, as a fun wink to the fact they're working around this previous story/filling in details we didn't know.

The changes did get Rebel's a bit of unexpected press. Andor may not indulge in fan service, but it is telling a story fans are indeed already invested in.

Okay, so with 100% seriousness, this is how I would end Andor:

Deedra finds Luthen and he leads her and the ISB to a remote planet, where he gets shot down and crashes in a forest. He survives the crash and Deedra follows him on foot with a squad. They corner him and are about to take him in when they get brutally murdered by Ewoks. Surprise! It’s Endor. Meanwhile, Deedra is written off as MIA, but Krennic earmarks Endor as a good site for future weapon development. Luthen is now stranded here for the rest of his life and he rallies the Ewoks to become a fighting force. We now have Tony Gilroy directed Ewoks and Return of the Jedi is retroactively the spirit of Luthen laughing maniacally as the emperor’s war machine goes up in flames and teddy bears like the movie theater at the end of Inglourious Bastards.

That’s actually a perfect description of the show. And one of the main reasons why it’s awesome! :)
It’s a different speech. In S2E9 of Andor, it’s said that the rebel leadership wants Mon to make another speech and broadcast it as widely as possible. And for all we know, there were more after that.
Honestly, I think Andor is not made for people who eat cereal. Syril definitely wouldn’t watch it.

How has everyone's Andor watching 3 episodes a week schedule shake out? Week 1 I was first two episodes Tuesday and episode 3 Wednesday. Week 2-3 were 1 Episode on Tuesday and the last two on the weekend. Tomorrow I might do all 3 when they drop but definitely done before Thursday

I suspect that much drama and conflict will be made out of explaining why Saw and the Rebel Alliance aren't on speaking terms anymore, coming up with a dramatically appropriate ending for at least some of the characters among Luthen, Dedra, Wil, and Lonni, showing Cassian becoming more used to being a regular Alliance officer with a relationship with Draven... and then, somehow, someway, the Rebels get a quiet, very vague tip about the Death Star's purpose or existence that's probably hauntingly unclear.

They drop at 8pm here so I have plenty of time to watch all three. It hasn’t been a problem for me.

I think this might come from Lonnie to kleya, both are killed but the message of a super weapon becoming reality gets out Saw is also on Jeddah at this time so knows about the Khyber crystal (maybe saw tells Luthen about this)harvesting so I think info from him,Tivik and Lonnie all sets up the subsequent missions to kafrene and Jeddah and finally Eadu and scariff

I don't have any predictions about what we'll get in the final arc, but I hope Daniel Mays makes an appearance.

Saw and the Alliance are more than "not on speaking terms", Cassian is HOPING that Jyn's presence will keep them from being shot on sight. Also, I suspect they get much more than a very vague tip about the Death Star. Come RO they have been on the trail of a big weapons project so hard that they have identified the lead scientist, identified his daughters alias, tracker her down, and they definitely know about the kyber.

Well, I'm all caught up on Andor.

I started last week with a "3 episodes a night" rewatch of Season 1, and carrying over into Season 2.

    Season 2: Powerful Stuff

    Episode 8 was...a lot.
Episode 9 was what I'd been waiting for since the show began, and it was all that I wanted.

Benjamin Bratt was really good as "Not Bail". I have to give him credit. They were big shoes to fill.

I'm not ready for it to end. I'll be doing a Rogue One rewatch on Wednesday and I expect the gut punch to be severe.

    I'm just not ready.

I think there's a strangeness about watching a series in just 4 weeks. I love that it hasn't been dragged out though.

Actually, after what we know about Ghorman now, Saw being on Jeddah feels like it very much might be how he responded to Ghorman, a bit like a particularly angry bloodhound after a scent - maybe, after news of Ghorman being mined out of existence becomes an open secret, Saw makes his new priority being finding any hint the Empire is on a similar track again and immediately engaging with his Partisans, grabbing onto the Empire's Khyber operation on Jeddah with his jaws and refusing to let go.

It might even play into why he and the Rebellion have issues but why Bodhi heads straight for him and why the Rebel Alliance proper is still 100% willing to accept intel Saw's faction uncovers; perhaps his immediately belligerent response plays too easily into Imperial hands as justification for their stripping Jeddah of the crystals, escalating the situation into "Star Destroyer hovering over a city"-levels Imperial intervention almost immediately, probably against Alliance orders and probably increasing civilian casualties out the gate...

...But also meaning that the Empire can't keep the comparatively smaller operation quiet, and everyone in the Galaxy knows that whatever's going on with those crystals, Saw damn well wants to know.

It would even add some high-powered resonance to his "We're the fuel!" speech if he knows he's causing too much of a racket to escape, knows he's burning too many bridges to be a part of the Alliance, knows this is his last operation and campaign... but damn it, he still powers the uncovering of the Death Star.

I have these pesky life conditions known as family and job that really interfere with my ability to binge Andor. My kids/wife are typically asleep by 9:30, I can watch one episode before I make myself go to bed (alarm goes off at 5:15), then I try to ignore these boards and social media reactions for the next few days while I catch up. Try to have all three watched by Thursday night, then binge a re-watch Friday or Saturday evening.

My show drop times are 8pm so I've stayed up and finished watching and posting on here by 11-11:30. I'll post after each episode. I do feel like taking my time and watching just two tonight but I don't think I'll be able to hold back.

Here's the link to that live stream.

I caught the end of it, some good stuff and got to see Bix so that made my day. It felt as if she won't be showing up anymore.

A few questions i have after rewatching episodes 7-9 is if Bail's team is compromised, how much in trouble is he? Bail mentioned to Mon that he doesn't know the rescue squad personally as it's too risky, but how did the Empire infiltrate this group? Just frightening thoughts.
Also I wish we got to see Maya Pei and her rag tag group of Rebels and even the Idiot brigade band together and help set up the Yavin base. And they could've had shown Kreegyr's team as well (before or after their slaughter if anyone was left) I really felt this is what we'd be getting and it never materialized. Or that we never really saw any small band of Rebels meet and join together to help form the Alliance as we see it already formed in Episode 7.

I was listening to the latest declassified while driving so I didn't see who spoke the line but I believe Mon Mothma says "Are we arresting the criminals or are we making them"? I don't believe we've seen this yet.

I see so many post about episode 12 leading into RO but again i see this as 1bby so still a year off. Yes we should get Jedha, more Saw and Yavin, but the stuff with Galen and Jyn will be later.

A few more hours until the last three episodes! Going to be fun.
