How do I figure out the right port? And what's All Seeing Eye?

 

The right port is listed on the server page, you definetly need to use that.

ASE is a really cool program that lists game servers for tons of FPS's JO included. It's really good and more reliable than the in-game browser, i'd never go back! (It also lets you moderate the server from outside-game) Just google for "All Seeing Eye".

Are we going to be able to host "JO Themed Games" on this server?

Passwording the server is great for a weekly game, but organising Themed Games is kinda pointless without this server. Could we (when Night, Dan, pat-fett, Aragorn, etc knows how really well how to run this server, I'm sure they would upload the skins and level(s) needed for the themed game and the remove them again.

If we can't do this, having the server is kinda limited. And it pointless to organise Themed Battles, for quite a few people (due to net connections etc).

Just wondering.

 

Yeah this will happen. One of the reasons we wanted the server. We just need to get skins ect. uploaded and figure out how to password the server.

 

Yup sure. I thought someone would know how to password teh seervar by now.

Night figured out how to Password the server. I'll be leaving for home next week so maybe we can get a private game in sometime soon.

 

Well, when adding the server to, say, my Favorites, I can't input the port number when entering the IP address. How can I do this on the JO launcher? And how is the server listed as? "TFN JO Server" or something like that?

 

For the Port after you type the IP then put :"portnumber" The server is called theforce.net server

 

*Sighs* I don't know what's going on, but I just can't connect to the server. Everytime I do it lists a port #28070 and stays at the Awaiting Challenge thingie, uselessly counting up. Maybe I oughta try All Seeing Eye? Where do i get it again?
