I?m SOOOOO sorry for taking so long to update.
First I was attacked by Darth Real Life, who kept me occupied in a duel for a week or two. Then once I defeated him, Darth Writer?s Block stepped up to the plate. Darth Writer?s Block is almost as tough as or tougher than Darth Real Life, I?ve discovered. *shudder* AND I cut my finger so it kind of hurts to type.
I sincerely apologize over-profusely for the shortness of this update. I will post more as soon as humanly possible.


?What?s this planet called again??

Anakin glanced back at Liesel, and then focused his attention back on his piloting. ?It?s called Tefla.? A large green marble glowed in the viewport, sparkling quaintly. On noticing their shortage of fuel, Anakin and Obi-Wan had opted for refueling on the most-friendly planet closest at hand. Tefla.

?Tefla?it seems as if I?ve heard bad things about that planet. Are you sure we should realy go there?" Liesel inquired.

Anakin scoffed. ?Tefla? Bad things? Yeah right. The beings who live there aren?t hostile; the air is perfectly safe for humans; there are no wars going on; what bad could there possibly be??

?I don?t remember?? Liesel said slowly. ?But there?s something.?

Obi-Wan and Anakin traded looks. ?We?ll see.?

?If you please, sirs. Might I??

?Shut up, Threepio,? Obi-Wan interrupted.

?But sir??

?Quiet, droid!?

?No, no, Obi-Wan. I think we should hear what he has to say.? Anakin said to his old master.

?But Anakin! His voice is so annoying.?

Anakin raised an eyebrow. ?His??

?It?s.?

?Right,? Anakin smiled wryly and turned to the golden protocol droid. ?What is it, Threepio??

?Well, sir, it is not that there is anything wrong with the planet Tefla, per se.? Threepio began prissily. ?It is the beings who live there.?

Obi-Wan frowned at a comp screen. ?But here it says that the beings who live there are quite friendly. Especially towards strangers. ?

?Yes, sir, but it is not their attitude that is the problem,? Threepio continued. ?It is one of their, um, qualities. Many humans find visiting Tefla quite awkward. But not all humans, mind you. Some find it quite refreshing.?

?What?what are you going on about?? Obi-Wan asked. ?Just tell us.?

?Approximately 95% of all Teflons are left-handed.? Threepio concluded.

?Oh.,? Obi-Wan paused for a moment and then chuckled. ?How very awkward.?

?Hm,? Both Anakin and Obi-Wan turned around to see a rather smug Liesel. ?Maybe awkward for you. But I think I shall be quite at home.?

?What?? Anakin asked. ?You?re left-handed??

Her smug look said it all.

Anakin rolled his eyes. ?This?will be interesting.?

The Teflons were much like humans in many ways, and could almost have been mistaken for humans?if they didn?t have two noses. Anakin couldn?t imagine what the use for two noses was, but he wasn?t rude enough to ask.

Their small group weaved through the crowds, searching for some kind of fueling station for their empty commandeered ship. They got many stares, and not a few odd looks. Anakin figured he must look a bit strange to these people as he had only one nose between his eyes?

?There!? Obi-Wan pointed to a large station where many ships were docked and hooked up to large fueling tanks.

?I?ll go get the ship.? Anakin volunteered

 

*LOL* A whole planet of left-handed people? Very interesting although, I can understand why people find it awkward, I know I would.

Anakin figured he must look a bit strange to these people as he had only one nose between his eyes?

See, now I have an image in my head of Anakin with two noses, weird and thank goodness that he only have one.

On with the story!

They were seated around an enormous wooden circular table. Anakin was seated beside a Teflon female that Anakin thought would have been quite beautiful if she didn?t have four nostrils. She was introduced as Blanche Polla-Cuff, the Chancellor?s wife. She had dark flowing hair and chilly blue eyes. By the distinguished way she held herself she was old enough to have smile lines, but there were none. Either she had had some kind of wrinkle-removing injection, or she never smiled. Or both. She seemed very hard, very cold. She eyed Anakin suspiciously.

The Teflons had taken the twins to a nursery. It had taken very much to convince Anakin that they would be safe there. At last they had had to call in the nursery?s nurse and had let Anakin interrogate her. He was at last satisfied. The nurse was a plump and kind woman, he could see, and good with children. She watched all of the children of the household. When he handed Emma to her, the little baby didn?t even cry. Anakin was assured that his babies were in good hands?even if the head above those hands did have two noses. He pitied her when she had to change dirty diapers ? it was bad enough with one nose.

Obi-Wan was seated across from Anakin between two regal looking Teflons who, by their identical dress and faces, were twins. Liesel was a few chairs over to his left. The Chancellor was seated a seat away from Anakin beside his wife. There didn?t seem to be any rank or order to their places around the table. Everyone had just sat down in the nearest seat.

There were many other distinguished male and female Teflons seated around the table, all of them dressed extravagantly. Anakin felt extremely underdressed. The Teflons had offered them cleaner and fancier clothes, but?Anakin liked his pirate garb.

Liesel, however, had eagerly approved of the Teflon?s request. She had whispered to Anakin with a disgusted look on her face that her pirate clothes smelled of vomit. She looked stunning in a lacy, pale yellow-green dress. Anakin noticed wryly how Obi-Wan kept looking over at her.

Anakin stared down at his fancy dinner plate as a servant came along and plopped a tiny serving of what looked like miniature eyeballs on his plate. ?Thank you.? Anakin said to the servant automatically, though he really didn?t want to thank the servant for serving him eyeballs. But Anakin remembered what it was like to be of lowly rank, serving people for no thanks.

The servant did a double take at the thanks, murmured that Anakin was welcome, then continued plopping eyeballs on plates.

The woman sitting beside him chuckled coldly. ?You thank servants? My, how refined you are.?

Anakin looked at her. ?Pardon??

?The servant. You thanked him? How very considerate. And unconventional.?

Anakin decided it would be best for him not to take offense, and to just pretend she had said nothing at all. He pointed to his plate. ?I don?t mean to seem rude, but?what is this? It looks like eyeballs.?

Blanche eyed him from the corner of her eye, took a thin piece of crispy bread off of a nearby platter, and dipped it in her eyeballs. She chewed daintily before saying, ?It is roe.?

?Roe??

?Yes.? She waved her hand. ?Try it. It?s a delicacy.?

Anakin frowned. In his experience if something was called a delicacy that meant

 

Great chapter, I loved the part about Anakin's experience with foods called "delicacies" and how they usually taste horrible; that's been my experience as well.

It was really sad when Anakin remembered that he killed the chancellor's daughter, but I loved the drunk Anakin bits. Keep up the great work.

Oh, I loved this update but I wonder what the chancellor and his wife would say if they knew the truth, let?s hope that they won?t.

But I can also say that I understand why Blanche felt and acted like she did.

 

oh my... he juist had to go and get drunk didn't he?? he wouldn't be Anakin otherwise, he had to mess up. So who's giving him the warm good morning call?

?No!? Anakin groaned. ?The Chancellor and me was talking! I?m gonna be his hair!?

Obi-Wan eyes the Chancellor?s nearly-bald head. ?His what??

?Hair, hair! I?m gonna be ?is hair! I?m gonna be the next Chancellor!?

?Oh!? Obi-Wan said, as realization dawned. ?His heir. But you can?t inherit Chancellorship. It?s an elected position.?

?I?m gonna be his hair, Obi-Wan! Why do you always try to take everything for me? I mean, form me. No?from me! You always try to take everything from me! I hate you! I?ll?I?ll fight you!? Anakin lunged at Obi-Wan. Obi-Wan took a step back. Anakin sprawled on the floor.

Obi-Wan sighed. He looked at the wine-servant. ?Could you please inquire of a room for my friend here??

The servant nodded and gestured for him to follow. Obi-Wan did, dragging his sleeping charge behind him.

I'm so sorry for taking so long to update!!! Darth Real Life got me down. Way down. I've only gotten a chance to write the last few days, and this is what I quickly typed out before DRL swept me up again in battle.



Anakin awoke with sunshine beaming down on his face. He was in a bed. He had a horrible hangover. He opened his eyes and tilted his head to the side. Was this a figment of his imagination or was there really a gun barrel pointed at his face?

?Skywalker.?

?Oh. Hello.?

?Skywalker. Jedi. You stole them didn?t you??

?Excuse me?? Anakin blinked and rubbed his eyes. No, this wasn?t a dream. He leaped out of bed, relieved to find that he was still fully dressed. He immediately paused as a warning bolt from the blaster zipped past his head.

Blanche cocked an eyebrow. ?You took those poor babies from their mothers so they could be trained as Jedi. Didn?t you?? Blanche?s eyes narrowed and her voice sharpened. ?I insist you bring them back.?

?Um??

Blanche cut him off, glancing pointedly at the blaster in her hands. She was clutching it so tightly her knuckles had turned white. ?If you refuse I will blow your brains out and do it myself. I do not want any more mothers suffering so you Jedi can build up your precious Order.?

?I did not take those babies to be trained as Jedi. They?re my children. And Obi-Wan already told you??

Blanche rested the blaster?s barrel on his forehead.

Anakin continued, regardless. ?And Obi-Wan already told you that the Order is gone!?

?So you want to build up your Order again slowly and surely with the talents of babies who cannot help having the gifts they do. Maybe if you let them grow till they were old enough to make their own decision of becoming Jedi, I would not mind so much,? Blanche spat out between gritted teeth. ?But you Jedi are nothing but cradle robbers. Protectors of the innocent? No. You kidnap the innocent.?

Anakin watched Blanche?s hands holding the blaster. He could see her trigger finger quivering. She really wanted to pull that trigger. ?Mrs Polla-Cuff, I did not kidnap those children. They are my son and daughter.?

?You lie. I may not know much about Jedi, but I do know that they?re forbidden to have children.?

Anakin shrugged. ?I broke the rules.?

Blanche glared. ?You lie.?

?Yes I do. But I am not lying right now.?

?Then where?s the mother?? Blanche pressed. ?Or let me guess. You woke up one morning and found those babies on your porch with a note in their basket.?

?Their mother is?.was my wife.? Anakin found that his voice was flat and unemotional as he said this; he found this odd as just saying those words made his heart quicken and his throat clench. Oh, Padmé. I?m so sorry. ?She died.?

Blanche stared at him; something in Anakin?s voice told her that he was telling the truth. She did not want to believe it. ?So you, a Jedi like the fiends who took my baby girl, have two young children. You will get to keep them, love them, watch them grow up. While my baby stays as nothing but a memory to me. Gone. Dead, you tell me. I will never see her again.? Her next words sounded soft and almost kind. ?How very ironic.?

The early morning sunlight shone on her dark hair as she turned and walked to stare out the large window in the wall to the city below. As soon as she turned aroun

 

the end of that chapter was sooo sad. I liked the chapter any way.

 

Oh wow, I had no idea that Liesel had a son, and that he was taken by the Jedi, and I wonder what would have happened if she found out that it was Anakin all along, and what will she do now, hopefully she will stop the crazy woman, even if you have to have a little sympathy for her after losing her child but what she did in return is unforgivable even if I, if we know Obi and Ani right, will forgive her if they are ok (does this make any sense?) Well, this was a great update and thanks or the pm.

 

oh god, please tell me she isn't gonna help crazy lady to steal Emma! sad ending, but I still hope Ani separates her head from her body, nobody toucches the Skywalker children!!

Uh oh, now I'm REALLY worried!

Blanche looked him in the eyes. Her eyes were not sympathetic. Nor remorseful. ?All I wanted was for you to bring me to your ship. I would not have hurt you. It was bad enough that you Jedi took my daughter. But then to put one of your lightsabers at my throat??

Obi-Wan?s body jerked again as a second red blast cut through his stomach. He stumbled backwards. His legs bumped against something and gave out. But he didn?t fall to the floor. He had bumped up against his bed so that was where he lay. He gasped for a breath that was not painful. He fought off the darkness. He couldn?t die now. It was not that he feared death. A Jedi does not fear death. No. Obi-Wan feared for Anakin. Anakin needed him. And?.Liesel.

He dimly heard retreating footsteps and the sound of a wailing baby. Blanche was leaving. The baby?s wails cut through his thoughts like a knife. Why wouldn?t it stop? Why wouldn?t it shut up? Who could make the baby stop crying?

Obi-Wan?s eyes closed. His fingers clawed at his quilt as a shudder ran painfully through his body. He could feel his life force fading.

ANAKIN!!!!!

Sorry for the l-o-o-o-o-ng wait again, folks! You?re probably getting sick of hearing that from me.
First I went on vacation, then I had schoolwork and then I had writer?s block and?and?
Well enough with the excuses. Here?s the update.


At first Anakin?s mind was blank. And then thoughts and memories began zipping through his mind. He remembered it all so quickly it made his visions swim. Or was that a result of his horrible hangover? Wine, a woman with two noses and cold blue eyes, Chancellor Cuff, a disappointed Obi-Wan, wine, lying in bed with sunlight on his face, a headache, a blaster, Emma, wine, Blanche, Emma!

He tried to sit up but it was if he were paralyzed. His mind was awake, but his body was still being affected by the stun blast. He lay on the floor cold and helpless.

And then he felt pain. A sharp burning pain in his stomach. His body moved then, curling up around the agony. His broken leg was now mostly-healed thanks to numerous Force-trances during space travel, but this sharp movement sent through it a new spark of pain.

He lay curled up on the floor for a minute or two, waiting for the pain to stop. It didn?t.

Anakin took a deep breath and let it out, his exhale blowing away a strand of long dark hair lying on the floor near his mouth. Was it Blanche?s hair? Possibly. Blanche. Just thinking that woman?s name made his teeth grit and his heart pound. At first he couldn?t remember why he had these feelings. Not exactly. But then?he heard her voice again in his mind. ?I?m sorry. I know what it?s like to lose a child. But?you?ll still have another. ? Yes. He knew now for sure. Blanche was going to kidnap one of his children. Emma. His daughter.

Nothing could have motivated him more.

He stretched out with the Force calling it to help him. This pain he was feeling, he realized, was not real pain. It was easy to push aside. It was a phantom pain, someone else?s. Anakin?s mind was acting appallingly sluggish. He was finding it hard to string two thoughts together in an intelligent manner. Whose pain could he be feeling?

Who else but his former Master? He could only feel someone else?s pain this strong if it was someone he was close to. Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Anakin pushed to his feet and was soon running towards Obi-Wan?s Force presence; he tried not to think about its appalling dimness. ?Obi-Wan!?

His running feet slowed to a stop, almost of their own accord. He heard?the sound of a baby crying from far away. Emma!

Obi-Wan? Emma?

He didn?t know what to do.

A pained voice rose over the sound of Emma?s crying. ?Ana?kin??

Anakin took a step towards the voice, then a step backward towards Emma. He opened himself to the Force?and decided that Obi-Wan?s need was higher than Emma?s.

He took a step forward. And another. And another. The door to Obi-Wan?s room was closed. Anakin reached up to punch the emergency release on the control panel, but punched nothing but the wall. Right. Left-handed planet. The panel was on the left side, not the right. He punched the panel. The door swished open. ?Obi-Wan!?

He was instantly by his former Master?s side, trying to stem the red blood flowering on Obi-Wan?s off-white tunic. Obi-Wan was lying o

 

Oh, I?m glad that Obi-Wan is alright and that Blanche didn?t get away with Emma. Bu I still don?t like her.

This was an amazing update and I laughed a lot, thanks for the pm.

Great chapter, I'm glad the situation with the kidnapping was resolved. I really enjoyed this chapter, especially these passages:

She was followed by a familiar little green midget. Yoda raised his lightsaber high. There was a crazed expression on his face that was somewhat frightening. ?Here to save the day, I am!?
