Any info on when tickets will be made available?

Loews tickets are sold over Fandango.com. I've been checking daily, but it doesn't like tickets are available until one week before the show. I'd recommend going to Fandango.com fairly early on Thursday morning, and then checking back repeatedly throughout the day if they're still not available.

I'm assuming this is the policy for all Loews around Boston, but who knows for sure. I usually go to the Danvers theaters.

Tickets go on sale tomarrow for Hoyts in Hyannis on the cape here in MA...I don't know if this applys to all Hoyts, but I'm sure it does!

One little tidbit about the Boston Common theatre....

When LotR came out, you couldn't buy the midnight showing online. You had to go get it at the theatre. They had a 12:01 showing, and a 12:10 showing. Who knows if they'll do the same for Episode II....

Oh boy, this is really annoying.

 

I just came from the Randolph theater. They still do not know when they will be selling tickets for the movie. They are not even sure if they will have the movie, let alone if they will have it in DLP.

I have to ask. If Lucas wants DLP to be the new standard why on earth would there be any question if one of the few DLP theaters in the state will have the movie.

 

It looks like I will be at the Midnight showing at Fenway. A friend got me a ticket when I was away.

 

There are tickets available for the midnight showing of AOTC at the AMC Chestnut Hill.

Also, there have been a new host of cinema's that have gotten to selling tickets.

You can buy tickets for Randolph now, but not a midnight showing. I've called and they said they don't know if they'll even get one. But all the other times are on sale.

I also called Hoyts and they're hoping to start selling tickets on Thursday but they also don't know about midnight showings.

I hate my life.

 

If Randolph is selling, we should order our Meet 12 tix shortly just to be on the safe side.

 

Argh, I just called Hoyt's in Hyannis to see what time they would open tomorrow and be selling tickets and the woman said we won't be selling AOTC tickets yet and she didn't know when they would go on sale. Help me jediraanic, your my only hope. What do you know for sure.

 

I will DEFINATELY be at Meet #12.

 

IMHO, we need a change of plan. If there is no midnight showing at the Loews in Boston, then we should just go to the next best theater.

I don't like this.....DarthMog, you say they said they weren't selling tickets today???? WTF, they girl I talked to yesterday confirmed that tix would prob. go on sale at like 11:30!! It's 8:30am right now, I'll keep calling, but I don't know when people start to arrive...I'll keep you posted

 

According to the info on movietickets.com, it looks like Randolph will have two threatres within their cinema that will be showing AOTC.

I just called the Randolph cinema, and a very nice lady said that they have just recieved TWO PRINTS, and they are not even sure if they will be getting a digital copy, let alone they don't know if they will have a midnight showing! She did say that they will possibly know more as the release date approaches.

What is going on. George Lucas wants to show this film in digital, yet the Randolph cinema (only one of two in the state) still has no idea whether they will indeed be even getting a digital copy to show! Maybe they will have a third theatre enlisted within them Randolph cinema, which will show the DLP version, but no-one seems to know anything.

So what are we to do... Get tickets for Randolph, (but which theatre do you pick, that you "guess" could be showing a digital copy) in the hope that one of the screens will be showing AOTC in DLP glory, or wait and see, and then risk not getting a ticket for one of the opening day showings...

This is starting to get very lame, I wish FOX/Lucas would make up their minds, if Randolph is going to get a DLP copy or not. IF NOT, they I and everyone else here should complain to FOX/Lucas and the press within Boston very loudly as this is what every StarWars fan wants (heck that's why there is even a meeting 12 planned, so that the fan of the boston rebels can see the film in digital glory!), to be able to see the film the way the director and producer and writer wanted it to be shown, digitally.

Sorry about the rant, this is just so annoying!

 

OK....called Hoyts and now THEY WON'T BE SELLING TICKETS UNTIL A FEW DAYS BEFORE THE RELEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WFT!!!! They basicly lied to me yesterday when tey said they were going to be available!!! Now I REALLY REALLY HATE Hoyts!!!!!!!!

 

I called Hyannis again too and got the same story. I'll keep harassing them until I get my tickets though. I hope they have a midnight showing. I'll let you know if I hear anything else.

 

I just checked the Randolph listings from movietickets.com and they now have two additional start times for AOTC on the 16th May 2002 ...

Plus, I DO SEE that Randolph as well as AMC Framingham 15 are BOTH listed on the Starwars official site as cinema's that are to show AOTC in all the digital glory. StarWars Digital Projection Theater Listing. It does also say on the page that final theater bookings are currently in progress and will be available at a later date.

Lets hope Randolph gets their act together and lists which showings are to be shown in Digital, otherwise we're in for a time guessing which one of the two showings is to be broadcast in Digital.

Plus, as posted on the front of TFN, Lucas/Starwars.com have picked movietickets.com to be the place to get your tickets and info online... StarWars.com Cinema/Theatre bookings and listings via movietickets.com, type in your zip zode and hit GO.
