Are the Sith allowed to love?

Could the same rule that applied to the Jedi also apply to the Sith? After all, Vader lost Padme after turning to the dark side. Palpatine, Dooku, and Darth Maul all appeared to be without a romantic relationship.

So is it safe to assume that the Sith are also forbidden from romantic attachment?

 

Sith are too consumed by power, ambition, and just plain evil to be able to love I think.

 

Maybe all they need is just a little lovin'...

 

If by love you mean lust, I'm sure they can do whatever they want. But in the compassionate sense and consummating love, no way in hell.

 

I don't think the Sith have a rule against love; seeing as how they are more about emotion, it actually coincides with their goal (total SELF love). However, like a successful businessman wrapped up in his career, they are so much into achieving ultimate power and destroying the Jedi, they have little time for anything else, like romantic love.

 

None of them definetely got enough hugs as children.
Maul especially.

Plus...I don't see how any of them could even get women.

I'm sure Dooku got plenty of fine women in his youth.

I think Sith would be allowed to love. They are against the Jedi so they would probably break Jedi rules.

 

Also when you have power chances are you have women too. Attractiveness isn't a factor when you rule the galaxy, especially with an iron fist. ALso I dont care how obessesed you are after a while Sith need some 'confidence'. And Anakin was planning on being a SIth with Padme, so theres a perfect example of sith relations with women.

Even Hitler had a steady girl companion/wife....yes, evil and hate can "love", if only themselves. I think the Jedi resist love for that reason, because love can make you do crazy, sometimes dark things...well, false love, anyway...

Um, anyway.. to a Sith, love is a weakness. It leads to compassion and that's a big no-no.

Lust, on the other hand, fuels passion and so I imagine they're much like bunny rabbits, in that sense.

They love being sith, so YES. Besides, there is no rule for them except goals.
