Asajj's role in series is going to be really interesting. But I didn't like her that much in the film itself. I don't know, might have been only animation fault. The CGI wasn't as good as I expected.

As for the Asajj=Sith???, I don't think Dooku was a true Sith in essence. It is well known that Palpatine was after Anakin as his apprentice for the Rule of Two, so that thing with Dooku wasn't really serious to him. And Dooku seems different than other Sith, maybe he wasn't one fully. More like a Dark Jedi and a Jedi Outcast than a true Lord.

I think he was a Dark Jedi, Yoda almost redeemed him in one of the books and I don't think a true sith would have surrendered like he did.

Although I think if I was a sith I would surrender to the jedi just to throw them off. It would confuse them and make them drop there gaurd.

I am also disappointed, yet again, with the way she has been portrayed in the Clone Wars movie. I see her as a smart, powerful, beautiful woman full of righteous rage, and I just don't think they've fulfilled her potential yet. I think the Obsession comics have come the closest, along with some of her provocative moments in Labyrinth of Evil. I'm still happy to see her story progressing, though.

Both Dooku and Palpatine saw a lot of potential in Asajj, and Obi-Wan did as well. He once said "I believe there is a part of her Dooku hasn't corrupted" in the Clone Wars comic. Palpatine also sent Asajj after Anakin on Yavin IV to test both of them.

If Asajj hadn't eventually decided to run away and avoid all Jedi, things in Episode III might be been a lot different. After the death of Dooku, Palpatine would have arranged another battle between Asajj and Anakin. He would reveal himself as Sidious to both of them at the same time. That might be more of a risk with Anakin, especially if the whole "Padme is going to die" was just Sidious messing with him

Presumably, Asajj would instantly decide to prove herself as a worthy apprentice, while Anakin would waffle between "Must arrest Sith Lord" and "Must have Sith Lord save Padme." He'd focus that moment on defeating Asajj.

Would a full-on duel between Asajj and Anakin attract the attention of Mace and the other masters via the Force? That would really liven things up!

Sadly, Ventress was not a worthy apprentice. Tyranus was at least capable of engaging Yoda - Asajj was completely crushed by Yoda.

Ventress was able to defeat Kit Fisto, yes, but the gap between Sidious, Yoda, Mace, Tyranus, Anakin, Obi-Wan and the rest of the Jedi Council was huge. Everyone in that group has defeated her, or would have done, in the case of Sidious. It is very clear, that much.

I accept her as Dooku's secret apprentice, but not as a true Sith apprentice under the Rule of Two. She couldn't become one unless her and Tyranus overthrew Sidious, after all.

That doesn't mean I don't consider her fairly powerful, but I like to consider her in context. She could claim to be a kind of Sith, but not a Rule of Two Sith.

I haven't been watching the clone wars. I know they are on the internet, but my time has been spent elsewhere. I do need to catch up.
