AtomFilms Star Wars Movie Challenge 2008

I'm curious as to whether George Lucas will be in attendance? Obviously he's not big on convention appearances (with the exception of hip-hop related events), and the Comic-Con website does not say anything to this effect. However, an article on MSN states that George Lucas and Anthony Daniels will be promoting The Clone Wars at Comic-Con, which would presumably be on Friday.

My understanding is that in the past, GL has made a congratulatory video or something, that is played at the awards? If he's going to be there Friday, I wonder if he would be there for the Thursday SW movie challenge awards...

As much as I would like it to be true, I dont really think G. Lucas himself will be at the Comic-con this year..... And (not sure about this) I think the "congratulatory video" thing has been done only once...
Can you even imagine what would happen if Lucas showed up there??...Anarchy, I tell you...ANARCHY!

 

Well Geez , So nobody wants to get down and dress up? not even a storm trooper?
I mean RVD could at least walk around in their film clothes!

Anyways' I thought it might be a gas if we did something different than the years
before us. So, just got my email today and I wont tell you what I'm going to wear . But lets see if you know its me. Plus if GL ~is~ going to be there than heck its way worth the effort. [face_alien_1]

hmmm, also I just got the email saying it was on thursday and not on saturday.
This relly puts a crimp in things. I thought it would be saturday or at least Friday when GL
was there opening the show for the new series.

I'll be there, LORDWROTH... (Are you gonna be in costume?) That would be awesome...!! (and show those lame cosplayers what is a real costume!(Dont take me wrong, I like cosplay..but they look "bad" most of the time, to say the least..))

Either way, they sent the passes yesterday... And the Comic-Con line-up looks great this year..

Since I'm in New York, I can't get to SDCC on Thursday, so I need to find someone to act as a stringer for the Fan Cinema Today blog for the Awards. Actually, since there will be WI-FI avaliable for free at the Convention Center I was thinking on transmiting live (or almost live)...but..sigh..anyways.. well..crap... ummm I mean crud....
My ride canceled, so it looks like its me and my motorcycle headin down to comic con,.
normally not a problem but I wanted to wear a costume at the show and this puts a major dent in that idea. oh well. such is life. and for those of you who have seen the behind the scenes of COE please be advised, I do not look like that any more. I dont have blonde dreadlocks and that was only for wroth.
SO! look for a guy with short black hair that resembles Robert Diniro and a but of Jay Leno and you have me! plus with my motorcycle jacket and helmet. maybe that will be my costume!! yes I can see it now! masters of the universe or or ! mad max!! hahaha!

OK guys this is it..in a couple of hours the CC starts with the Preview Night and tomorrow the real show starts.
I will be trying to do a live broadcast of the SW FF Awards... I think i will be using ustream or someting like that... Or the least option would be to do it trough MSN...heee... Either way I will be posting the updated link on this forum.

I'll be traveling down from LA Thursday morning, hope to be on-site around noon.

Will be hanging out at the Atomfilms booth from 4-7, and putting in an appearance at the FF awards Thursday evening.

In both cases, I should have a special guest with me. No, not Amy - she can't be there tomorrow, tho she may be there Friday.

Can't say who I'm bringing or why - it's already being promoted and advertised a bit, but I dunno where or how much just yet. But the sort of person who goes to Comic-Con might know who she is. Especially the women who'll be at CC dressed AS her, and I'm sure there'll be more than one of those.

That's all I got for now, but if you come to the Atomfilms booth after 4 or come to the FF show, you can hear all about it then.

Well, since i live nowhere near San Diego and will not be going to CC i guess i'll never know.

I definitely vote in favor of them holding next year's Comic-Con on Guam.

Woooohaaa!! The Award Ceremony just ended minutes ago, and it was a great event!.... First of all the Lucas Choice Award went to "Padme".
I must say that the best part of this whole experience was to meet other fellow participants personally, like Lordwroth, Ryan, Michael, Newmaska..among others, who went from a simple "screen names" to really nice and friendly people... It was a real honor.

Now, for some unexpected problems with the camera, I could not transmit the event... BUT..I have a complete videos of every single winner....

I will be posting them as soon ss possible (as long as nobody complains)... Probably in a couple of hours...

Guys...I dont know where you are right now, but you should be here...
