Okay, Aurra Sing is now my absolute favorite villain in the show. I hated her character before she was in TCW. I thought she was boring and used poorly.

However, the show used her perfectly. What does everyone else think?

I've already stated that she'll end up collecting a bounty that will be placed on Cad Bane's head...which will make her the new top bounty hunter in the galaxy.

Does that give you an idea of what I think of her? Of course, my opinion might be greatly influenced by the fact that she is voiced (expertly) by the smokin' hot Jamie King. I do hope King continues to provide the voice for Aurra.

I think she's a lot cooler than Ventress, and has a much better character design. She was used pretty well as Boba's own 'Palpatine' figure, but I hope they'll bring up her Jedi background at some point.

Her Jedi background was what I hated about her in the first place. She had the potentional to be an awsome bounty hunter in the Republic comics, but she was just a washout Jedi constantly trying to get "revenge", over and over again.

Not she is the manipulative, ruthless, awsome bounty hunter I always hoped she would be. :D

I do note that her bounty hunter/Jedi hunter storylines CAN coexist...but for my part, I hope that they either do it well or transfer that street cred to Grievous, otherwise, we'll have too many people with an axe to grind. :p

Sing started out as little more than a cool sniper who was really just a cameo surprise for fans, but she really came into her own in the Boba trilogy. Really like what they did with her, and I hope they bring her back for more stories. Well...I say that about almost every character, but yeah. Same goes!

In my opinion she was still an awesome bounty hunter. I don't see how a grudge against the Jedi takes away from that, or being able to use the Force and a lightsaber. I think these things set her apart from other bounty hunters.

Sing is everything I hoped she would be and more. Her voice is fantastic too. I didn't really know much about her except for the basic facts, so I didn't expect her to be so deliciously villainous. :D

Looking back at her bar discussion with Plo Koon, I keep getting the feeling that the producers were hinting at a deeper motivation for why she is doing this. It could be just a conversation artifice, but I don't think so.

She appears in the Season 3 trailer, looking to get revenge on Ahsoka, so I'm looking forward to that, just hope "Revenge" doesn't become her central motif for her character, and we eventually get to see more about that deeper motivation she has (Jedi apprenticeship or otherwise).

I agree. I feel like the fallen Jedi apprentice backstory was forced on her just to give the heroes a lightsaber-wielding opponent in the post-TPM comics. I like her better in TCW. I do hate continuity botches though. Maybe TCW's Aurra is a clone of the original who doesn't know how to use the Force... Could also be why she seems to have a soft spot for Boba now when before she just wanted his ship. Just a theory...

I'm not sure I buy that Aurra only wants Boba's ship. Jango Fett was paid vast sums of money for being the template of the Clone Army as well as personally overseeing the training of the elite ARC troopers. Those funds are now at Boba's disposal which Aurra would like to get her hands on. Also, Boba likely has a lot of connections in the gangster undwerworld as a result of his father having been one of the top bounty hunters in the galaxy.

I agree. Aurra may be a mere bounty hunter, but she can be a businesswoman when she needs to be. Her business is easing the path for her own wealth. I don't think she was ever all that concerned about Boba.

I enjoyed a couple of the Dark Horse comics featuring Aurra, but I'm definitely liking her TCW characterisation a lot better. In some of the comics she just came across as a bit of a one-note demented woman-child with a lightsaber, whereas in the last three TCW episodes she seemed so much more effective and interesting as a villain (sociopathic, certainly, but not ineffectually psychotic). I think that the voice acting does a lot for the character though, Jaime King is excellent as Aurra.

I don't personally have any great dislike for the idea of the whole 'kidnapped former Padawan wanting revenge' backstory being worked into TCW (though I really don't think that she needs it to be an interesting villain), but I hope that her character portrayal continues along the same lines as we've seen so far in the cartoon (assuming that she survived the crash of course).

Aurra Sing is now my official new favorite villain of this series. I think she had more kick ass moments than Cad Bane and Ventress. Considering she survives the crash, I'd like to see more episodes involving her. The whole comment from Plo Koon in the finale proves (to me anyway) that she is the one who wants revenge on the jedi and she doesn't really care that Boba wants revenge at all and that she's just using him as a tool. I'd like to see more background on this, showing her motives beind manipulating Boba and perhaps her brief jedi past. Tapping into her jedi past would mean the creators of CW would have to mention or bring in the "dark woman" from the EU DH comics, but I'm not sure they would do this. If Aayla and Quinlan have been considered G-canon characters from the EU, I don't see a problem with including other famous jedi from the EU like Tholme, Tra'Sa, Kruk'h (who appeared in the micro series) Hett, and Dark Woman into the mix as well. All of them offer unique positions within the jedi order.

I like the character following the last three episodes of Season 2, though I felt that her relationship to Boba left something to be desired. I.E. I felt her influence on him would be stronger.

Nah, I like that Aurra left Boba hanging like that. She also inadvertently proved that Boba did once have a heart, at least when it comes to killing innocent men anyway. It'll be interesting to see what he becomes in later seasons, how he transforms into the smooth criminal we know that he becomes.
