Austin Powers in Goldmember

I think it's gunna be funny as hell, but if only they'd get rid of Beyonce Knowles and bring back Elizabeth Hurley...mmmmmmm...but it's still gunna be funny...

 

The lawsuit was dropped, but they had to add the James bond 20 trailer to the AP Goldmember film

 

Somehow I'm not as eager to see this one as the last two. It looks like it'll be good, just not as good as the others. and I'm not thrilled with Britney and Beyonce being in it.

 

Aren't they going to be attaching TTT trailer also to Goldmember ?
I think I heard that. Their both produced by New Line though.

I really liked the first one, but the sequel felt like Mike Myers wrote the entire script on toilet paper while doing a number two
It'd be good if Goldmember recaptured the satire of the first, but it doesn't look like it from the trailers.
BTW, can anyone explain Dr. Evil's "Scotty-doo" joke? I've watched the trailer three times and I don't get it.

 

I have no interest in seeing this one. After watching the last one and seeing the trailer to this one, the only thing Mike Myers seems interested in is bathroom humor(like in Shrek) and rehashing the same jokes over and over again.

I love the original, but I'm not a really big fan of TSWSM. Hopefully Goldmember will focus more on the spy-movie parody comedy, rather than the goofball comedy.

The previews don't look so good to me. It looks like more of the same as the last movie.

The whole premise was that Dr. Evil and Austin Powers were supposed to be out of place, and in the last movie, and this one, it looks like they're not even going with that premise, so what's the point of even having these characters in it?

 

The more I see the previews, the more I realize that this movie is going to be great!

Mike Myers is playing Austin, Dr. Evil and Fat Bastard, like before, as well as Goldmember. That guy looks funny every time I see him. Going around on roller skates (blades?) with that look on his face... LOL. And the reference to Silence of the Lambs, and a whole lot of other things.

IMO, TSWSM was excellent and as good as, if not better than, the original.

I just read that Mike Myers would sacrifice a lot to avoid making a movie he knows is crappy.

Just wait 'til it comes out. All you naysayers will see that Mike Myers has done it again.

The only real downside (aside from the possible rehashing of old jokes) is that Beyonce can't act. At least, no other rap/hip hop/singer turned actress can. And her attitude outside of film and in her music videos is a bit too stiff to be a good actress.

 

Why did they get Beyonce Knowles from Destiny's Child? I really do not understand the current trend of trying to make pop stars into actors.

I just watched the original two last night and plan on attending a sneak preview tonight at my local theater. IMO, almost every joke with Austin is kind of dumb and lame, but Dr. Evil always has me rotfl. Interesting how Myers can be so funny with one character and totally suck when he is another one. Also, I hope they DO NOT use more of Fat Bastard in this one. He makes me sick. Overall, I like the series, but I will admit it has just as many bad jokes as it does good ones. Here's hoping Goldmember can deliver more of the funny ones.

Also, wasn't Pierce Brosnan supposed to have a cameo in this as well? Seems I read it somewhere.

It beats the second one, IMO.

 

I saw it in a sneak preview last night, and it is funny

I wasn't too keen on 2, but I love 1. This sits closer to 1...if that makes sense.

I would suggest watching 1 again befoere seeing this.

It fwelt like everything was getting tied up, so I don't think there'll be a 4, which is probably a good thing.

Oh, and Michael has the two funniest lines. :-D
