My box office prediction was that Endgame will make slightly less than Infinity War overall. Maybe a bigger opening weekend but it probably won't hold as long. However, Infinity War has worldwide 2.048 billion dollars. 2 billion for Endgame seems to be a given, you'd figure it'd make at least 49 billion more. So slight revision, Endgame will outgross IW worldwide but I'm only giving it 100 million more max than IW so 2.148 billion and I'll take the under on that.

Still and absurd amount of cash, though. And I doubt we'll ever get a really true estimate on what each movie cost (300 million each? According to Box Office Mojo freaking Pirates Dead Men tell no tales cost 230 million, no way Infinity War cost only 20 million more!). Hell, maybe Endgame is cheaper than Infinity War since most of the actors' characters got snapped and their Endgame roles would be smaller.

The thing about movies that shoot in the UK is the financial incentives they get become public information so their budgets can be calculated back from that. Disney spent a little over $320M on IW with Endgame estimated to come in somewhere a little below that. Probably $600M between the two.

And they're not the first Disney movies to cost more than that Pirates entry. They spent more on Doctor Strange ($236M) and Age of Ultron cost them nearly $500M.

wow I'm surprised that Age of Ultron cost a hellova lot more than Infinity War and Endgame. That farmhouse must have been expensive. Maybe that's why they turfed Whedon in the end and him saying he was burnt out maybe somewhat less.

So...Hawkeye’s family was a little too rich for Disney’s obscenely expensive comic book movie? :p

It ends with Thanos back on his farm, working his garden where he finds a buried box. He opens it to find a frog that sings old ragtime songs. Iris whipe to Thanos leaving his brief farming life behind for the big time on Broadway.

Will it involve a Tyrion tap-dance?

Disney showed off some Endgame footage (along with some from Ep IX and Avatar 2) at a shareholders meeting. Descriptions are floating around out there and easy to find. The one I read wasn't super spoilery (doesn't really give anything surprising away) but it certainly begs a few big questions. Seems like it was a fairly brief scene.

Interesting that Disney showed off Avatar 2 footage considering the Fox acquisition deal isn't legally finalized.

They were showing it because Disney has the Avatar area in it's parks, so it has direct implications for the business regardless if who ends up distributing the movies.

Oh, I know that Disney has an Avatar section in their amusement parks. However, I'm not sure about the legality of the film side of Avatar. I mean, Spider-Man: Far From Home is a Disney/Marvel Studios produced film and Disney has stakes in the Spidey character via comic books, cartoons and merchandise. However, Sony has the exclusive licensing and distribution rights to Spidey regarding films (i.e. Venom, Into the Spider-Verse, etc) and video games. So, it would make sense that Disney wouldn't show footage from Far From Home or talk about sequels or spinoffs of Venom or Into the Spider-Verse. That's why I find it interesting Disney showed footage of Avatar 2. A section dedicated to Avatar in their theme park is far less significant than Spidey merch and other IP.

Apparently there aren't any legality issues with it, they showed off multiple soon-to-be-acquired Fox properties. I'm sure someone ran it up the flagpole with their legal department beforehand. And it appears it was just production footage (Cameron has already floated stills of production publicly):

Iger emphasized the Fox deal at the close of the “entertainment” portion of the meeting, ending with a reel covering all of the Fox film and TV assets the company is about to add. New footage of production on future Avatar projects was also unveiled, with the next feature installment slated for December 2020.
