At the end of the ceremony for some friends, they walked out to a mariachi band playing Yub Nub. Playing Star Wars is fairly run of the mill, but that was a nice touch to it.

I think I had friends that used Zelda music at a wedding.

Well, I've been to the weddings of 3 couples in the last 5 years, I think, and every wedding (of those I offhand remember) featured at least one usage of star wars music.

I've never heard Star Wars music at a wedding.

Then again, I've only been to three. Or four. I forgot.

In my case, the SW music was a surprise. My wife is not a SW fan but of course she knows I am so she arranged for the imperial march to be played as we exited the church. She had to ask a friend of mine what SW music to play. We've been together for 14 years and she has never watched a SW from beginning to end.

My sister requested the Star Wars main theme during the dance at the reception for me at my wedding 2 months ago.

"William Bloat" and "The Old Woman of Wexford"

"William Bloat" is an Irish song about a guy who cuts his wife's throat, and then hangs himself. She survives him, because "the razor blade was German made, and the rope was Belfast linen."

"The Old Woman of Wexford" is another Irish song about an old woman falls in love with another man, so she goes to the doctor to get something 'to make my old man blind'; she gets the advice, the old man is blind, so she tries to push him in the water to drown him. He nips aside, she falls in, and when she cries for help, he retorts "I can't see you at all."

The Irish appear to have somewhat jaundiced view of marriage; but just remember, until recently divorce was impossible to obtain there.

I will most definitely have Elton John's "Your Song" played at my wedding. Er, well, as the first dance at the reception.

My brother had Louis Armstrong's What a wonderful world. Kinda cool.

And the song for her and her father song was When you are the father of girls by Perri Como.

My parents had Always and Forever by Heatwave. And my sister had Unforgettable. I don't know who it's by.

Honestly, I've considered what song I would want played for my wedding and there's nothing that immediately comes to mind.

What's their current rate for both the wedding processions and reception?

My groomsmen and I walked out to Ribbon in the Sky by Stevie Wonder, my lovely bride walked out to Aniron by Enya from Fellowship of the Ring, and Come What May from Moulin Rouge was our ?first dance.?

Also, we cut the cake accompanied by Sarah MacLachlan?s Ice Cream.

Not planning on getting married, but if I were, I would probably go with "Wedding Bell Blues" for the walk down the aisle and "Don't Fear The Reaper" for the first dance. I want it played at my funeral, too. It's a good all-purpose song.

Not actually in the wedding itself, but a wedding I went to a couple months ago (of two friends) had the couple entering the reception to the Throne Room/Victory at Yavin music... which obviously surprised the bride although it was obvious she loved it. Clearly someone (or many someones, more likely) knew her well :p

That wedding also had a very green theme because of the bride's well-known affinity for Slytherin House from HP.
