I have seen this show many times before and seen many examples of gay inuendo and such and have even heard of some examples of anti-semitism. I was bored today and decided to watch it a little. The episode I saw included a parody of the Super Friends. The antagonist of the story, "Timmy", just got done doing all of their chores. He went through the list of chores that included, Cleaning supermans cape, Shining Wonder womens boots, and waxing aqua-mans dolphin! Incase your unfamilar with the term, it's slang for masturbation. I think Nickoloden should keep a much better eye on the shows it airs. Unless nickeloden doesn't mind such content in which they should be very ashamed. As for the claims of anti-semitism, after what I just heard, I'm not sure I would put it past them.

Is this similar to My Parents Are Aliens? That thing was terrifying. Cross-dressing, male pregnancy, beastiality, minors photographed in sexual situations. I'm serious. Horrific how they made the air as a "children's show".

Plo, how many kids do you know would recognise that phrase as slang for masturbation?

It's just like when Rocko's Modern Life had a restaurant called the "Chokey Chicken." It's good for kids, and it gives older people something that they can chuckle at.

and Plo, just think how many innuendos were in the stuff you used to watch when you were a youngster, that you probably never picked up on.

Yeah, I know Rocko's Modern life had that stuff too. But that show kicked ass. And the producer wasn't openly gay.

No, it's not a good show, it should be taken off the show know that nick has some what of a reputation! My little brother watches that show! And my friends little siblings do to! I can't wait till snopes.com does this show!

And "sct", I have seen a show that included all of those features, "Cow and Chicken".

Waxing the dolphin is up their with spanking monkey.

there is a lot of stuff that they put into show that kids wont get but parents do. Its the only way to keep the parents entertained when the 6 year old makes them watch it. other wise mom might tell them to shut off the tv and go play.

I realize not many kids will get that, but I was just so shocked when I first heard it. But just because they don't understand it doesn't mean we should say it too them at an early age. You see, children take childrens TV as an example of what can be said. If they take a subtle clue that it can be said, they have a greater likley hood of repeating it. I know I must have repeated spank the monkey a few times to my older brother after a certain episode of Rocko's modern life.

Not only that, the phrase was said during a joke, kids like to repeat jokes to each other, what if someone ends up getting offended?

EDIT: I don't know what kind of open-minded parents you had, but I know if my parents heard that on my cartoon when I was little, I would be banned from that cartoon for the rest of my life. I think that might have been why I couldn't watch Rocko's modern life. I couldn't understand them back then, so I was clueless as to why I wouldn't be allowed to watch it.

Yeah, I know Rocko's Modern life had that stuff too. But that show kicked ass.

That is a huge double standard. If you don't apply it to Rocko, don't apply it to Oddparents. Because they're both for kids, they're both from Nickelodeon, and if you have a problem with one of them you might as well have a problem with both.

And the producer wasn't openly gay.

And that's discrimination. So what if the producer's openly gay? Is that really any of our business? Uhm, no.

I love the Fairly Odd Parents. I didn't even know that that was innuendo, or that they even had any. I certainly wouldn't have noticed it myself. If you want to, write a letter to Nick and stating you don't like it. And then just don't watch it.

Yes, I would be upset if I overheard my little bro talking about giving aqua-man a handy.

If he's gay, that might put him at a different motive, as to why he would allow something like that.

When you put it like that, plo, I can't say I'd blame you. I've seen shows in trouble for far less than these kind of things, and I always thought US tv was much more conservative.

You know whats sad, these nickoloden shows are much worse the all those primetime fox cartoons and Adult Swim cartoons. I never would have guessed for the life of me that Fairly Odd parents might be worse the Family Guy.

EDIT: A few more examples are coming back to me now, the episode with one of the Backstreet boys as a guest star. Timmy Turner's Dad called the former backstreet boy's character, "delicious". What do you skeptics make of that?

Okay, as one who regularly watches cartoons, I can say that this is ridiculous.

Nickelodeon, for the most part, has become a preteen hormone wannabe crapfest with more flies buzzing around than you can put your mom on. At times, I feel perhaps I should just switch to the ABC Family, or even the Disney channel! These terrible shows like "Li'l Romeo" and the whole Truth or Dare Celebrity on Nick, Slime Time Live, it's sickening!

Does no one remember the good old days of Rocko's Modern Life, Ren and Stimpy, the wonders of Snick, the first All That cast, Are You Afraid Of The Dark? CAMP ANAWANNA??? Have we left our children to watch crap on the tv, as we watch our own reality tv crap???

If you're bugged by Nickelodeon, just watch Cartoon Network at night. Adult Swim isn't that bad, and at least somebody's still showing The Family Guy and Futurama and the other good cartoons....

    God Bless Heffer

Well I'm probably not gonna win many friends, but I think plo is worried that producers could use their creations to promote and encourage homosexuality amongst children. And I'd be inclined to agree that would be terribly wrong of them. But not just homosexuality, but any sexuality. That kind of thing has no real place in a children's show.

And I mean stuff people prefer to do in privacy, not a total ban on all romance or anything like that. Hope that makes sense without ruffling feathers, but either way that's how I see it.

    Amen brother!

The old nickolodeon kicked so much ass. If you look hard enough you can still find some of those shows on other networks, late at night on nick-early in the morning, or on vhs.

EDIT: I would hate it if little kids got exposed to any of that Howard Stern stuff. Not just homosexual stuff.
