Baron Fel's move to Thrawn

In Vision of the Future, it is discussed that Thrawn set up Isard's capture of Fel? Is this recorded in any literature anywhere else, I haven't been able to find it!

I heard somewhere that Zahn and Stackpole were going to do a comic together called the Enlistment of Baron Fel that would have Fel being caputred by isard and handed over to Thrawn where he sees the light or whatever.

All we know is Mandatory Retirement, Fel is in Rogue Squadron, then he is never mentioned again until Wraith Squadron and Iron Fist where he has dissapeared for the last year or two, and in those novel they have Zinsj's fake 181st.
Then Fel shows up in the Hand of Thrawn duology.

I've read these and was just curious if there was anything to fill the blank space inbetween!!

Oh well, I can always hope for such a comic?

 

All we know about the unpublished Zahn-Stackpole short story The Reenlistment of Baron Fel comes from Fel's NEGTC entry, and that paragraph in VOTF, when Leia and Solo meet the Fel farmer clones.

Contrary to belief, it was really Thrawn who masterminded Fel's Imperial capture, not Isard, who was doing it for him. This was a short while after Mandatory Retirement, when the Rogues cost Isard a major battle, who schemed to get rid of that thorn in her way, Fel.

Am I being a dunce, what is NEGTC?

 

New Essential Guide to Characters = NEGTC.

 

Right, I may have to purchase that one, I only have the older version?

 

It's 10 / 10 quality. All entries have excellent bio info and even some good humour. The Podracer entry was a jewel in its creativity. If there's any essential guide you want to get, make it the new characters one!

 

There seems to be quite a few massive gaps in zahn's writings. Maybe I've missed or forgotten whole sub plots and specifics, but between TTT, HoT and SQ there seems to be all these gaps that zahn bridges without proper or adequate explanation. I always feel like I've missed something.

 

For all we know, they could be planning an 8th Zahn SW novel.

 

with any luck. in spite of that aforementioned issue I have with some of his work, i think he writes great star wars. and its not really much of an issue. in fact, I guess it leaves nice big holes for back story... to be filled by, say, a short story... by, say timothy zahn...

it all becomes clear.

 

A new short story, which he is doing, but a clone wars one, would be most welcome.

 

We know most of the story about Fel going to work for Thrawn, I would rather there be a comic about Fel and his Sons fighting some unknown threat

 

Wasn't that something that Zahn and Stackpole were going to do for DH, but it got canned? *sigh*
