Back when the origin story was new to most people. *Bruce analyzing Napier's file* Etc...I could go on, but love it or hate it, Batman 1989 is the film that set the bar for all superhero films that followed it. And it still remains one of the best of all time. In my top 5 for sure. Maybe even #1 on some days. "I just like the sound of it." And Prince is gangbusters so don't even go there y'all. A dude at the local con I attended this past Sunday was dressed in one of the joker's henchmen from Batman '89; complete with the boombox playing Prince's familiar song from the movie.
I wonder how Tim Curry would have done as the Joker in the Batman film. Apparently he would have been real scary as he was too scary for kids to be cast in the animated series. This...
