Nothing is confirmed. Then there's the question with whether or not the material is canon or not.

 

It's not a question - just so you know, the FFG assets are not canon. So appearance in X-Wing, X-Wing 2.0, Armada, Imperial Assault, Destiny, Legion, EotE, AoR, FaD is not an indication of canonicity.

I only asked because I am half-way through the FFG World Championships for X-Wing between Jelte de Boer (NED) and Simeon Dellapina (UK). Jelte was running an Imp squad with Captain Yorr in it, and I was thinking about those side characters.

We could say the same for the Recondite and Magic Dragon being present as well since Takel and Declann were present. But nothing ever confirmed. Wish we still had that list from the Temporary Boards that was on the Essential Guide to Warfare about the list of Star Destroyers either Jasonfry or Daniel A. Wallace posted. It had the list of probable ones plus names they discarded (I liked the names chosen for the discarded list).

Since we're waiting for FACPOV: ROTJ's release date (and I started this thread), I want to know your headcanons for participants at Endor -- both sides, Canon and/or Legends. I'm fascinated by who other people think were present or at least what materials were there.

For instance, my headcanon on the Pride of Tarlandia's class is that it's a Praetor II-class battlecruiser. And Wes Janson's callsign in Legends was Red 6 (since Shadows of the Empire had him as Rogue 6).

 

Main problem with that is the Praetor II only has a couple of tiny hangars in the bow, a long way from any reactors. It also is really different-looking from ISDs, and really powerful (if its ball turret turbolasers are as powerful as Fractalsponge intended them to be).

For me, in the context of the newcanon, the idea that contradicts the movie visual imagery and the novelization description least, is that the Xyston class already existed in "non-superweapon equipped form" (all Palpatine needed to do to make them into superweapons was install the weapons and connect them to the reactors - he didn't need to design ships around superweapons when a design already existed that was perfect for modification).

Result - a large ship that can blend in almost perfectly with the crowd of small ships because it's exactly the same shape except for a couple of details on the underside, which has hangars very close to the reactor so a critical hit somewhere in there, can cause its destruction.
