Battlefront II Sounds and Music Thread

Sorry for the lack of sound effects. I have been trouble getting good ones correctly as my computer is having some problems.

Anyways, here are two new music tracks, at least I hope they are fairly new.

by the way, have you heard the sounds used for the silver naboo pistols in episode one or the rebel pistols in 4/han's blaster anywhere in that game? those would be great sounds to find, i can't find them anywhere, no games seem to have them.

 

Nice keep them coming, I was also wondering if you would be able to get a certain one I herd in the game or maybe if you know what it's called and which ST it's from so I can buy it. Anyway it was in Episode II when the clones showed up on Geonosis and it also was in Episode III when General Grievous' ship starts falling to coruscant while Anakin, Obi and Palps were going down the elevator.

Ok this might sound a tad outta place but here it is ne wayz.....On those first music files Semi-DarkLord90 put up eariler. I was wondering if someone could possibly tell me how 2 extract them outta the .lvl files. iv tried with the lvl extractor no success unfortunately but i really need 2 get all the music extracted cuz im kinda on this project 2 complete sum RotS music files and in order 2 do this it says i need a certain
"can't_be" music file in BF2.....if anyone is intrested in helping me my email is

Man, I've been having some problems.

I think I am abandoning my current method for sound effects, and I was wondering what programs can be used to rip audio directly from the Xbox?

From the Xbox? Like, the data files themselves, or just getting the sounds by recording whatever it's outputting?

You'd need to set up a network to your Xbox. I'm not sure if you'd be able to do it without a modded Xbox, though. Xbox DVDs are written (and read, obviously) in the opposite direction as regular DVDs, and a PC can't access them directly.

 

Well, I'm getting kind of screwed.

What is another option that will work?

See if you can just record some of them clean from gameplay.

 

The thing is, you can only isolate ALL sound effects, so there is always background noise.

It is starting to get annoying, as I cannot find any quiet place on any level, especially the Mos Eisley Assault level with all of the heroes and villains.

It sounds like he's having problems with his method of extracting them from the PC, so he's trying to find a different way to do it. One alternative is getting them from the XBox instead.

 

I have my Xbox running into my computer via AV cables and an nVidia card with WinDVR.

With WinDVR, I can record things from consoles, DVD players, and VCRs. It is quite handy, but I have to take my recorded stuff and cut the sounds out in Adobe.

It is simpler than it sounds, but the audio options on Battlfront 2 don't have a "Player Sound FX Volume" option, just Sound FX plural, for everything in the game. I am getting a lot of background noise.

I'll see what I can do tomorrow. I am wicked tired, and I just dug through a mess of cables to set up my new computer for heavy duty video work.

Thanks a lot for the tracks! Really appreciated. Do you think you could try and get the drum beats that play after the opening crawl in ROTS? In Battlefront 2, I think they usually play during space battles. I think it's called "Boys Into Battle" or something but I'm not sure.

Or am I been a complete tool and is that track already released?

 

We had this music on the John Williams Fan Network since October.

 

Now I feel useless.
