Best and Worst Quotes

Star Wars, of course, has made many wonderful quotes that have been parodied, quoted, redone, and loved over the years. Which was your favorite quote? Which did you absolutely hate?

Dislike
"I hate sand. It's so rough, so coarse. But you, you're not rough, your smooth."

 

Best:
"You've failed, Your Highness..I am a Jedi. Like my father before me."

Worst:

^ I had the same reaction as Luke did when Kenobi said that.

 

My best is "You were supposed to be the Chosen One!" and my worst is "Noooooooo!" (after Luke realizes Darth Vader is his father.)

My Least Favourite:

Obi? Obi! - Jar Jar Binks

Not to be rude or anything, but the quote didn't go quite like that. IF the quote was that, I could see how it would be dumb. But it was actually "I don't like the sand.....its coarse, rough and irritating, and it gets everywhere. Not like here, here everything is soft, and smooth"

My favorite:

Least favorite:
Not a big fan of any of Jar Jar's lines/

"You were the Chosen One! You were supposed to destroy the Sith, not join them!"

"So this is how liberty dies, with thunderous applause."
"No, I am your father."


Worst:
"I wish I could just wish away my feelings." (Actually, the whole fireside scene up to the point were Padme tells Anakin to come back to real world.)
"Oh, this is such a drag!"
"I'm quite beside myself."

 

So what? Teh sand line sucks.

And does no one else like Han Solo's line just after Obi dies?
It's so awesomeness!

Thanks for correcting him. I don't get why people hate that line so much. I'm not saying it's memorable at all or that it would be one of my pickup lines, but I don't think it's anywhere near as horrible as people keep making it out to be.


Best Line:
Honestly right now I think it's,
"Are you threatening me Master Jedi?" Mcdiarmid gets the same writing treatment everyone else gets but he sounds so bad ass when he says it.


Worst Line:
"I wish I could wish away my feelings," Definately the cheesiest line in the saga.

Well, any of the mushy stuff that doesn't sound right.

there are many many many more lines I love, but this post would go on forever if I typed them all

lines I dislike...hmm....well, most Jar-Jar lines are pretty bad...and those damn "Yippee!"s

 

BEST

Peter Cushing delivers a totally mesmerising, completely unflinching performance as Grand Moff Tarkin from start to finish. This is the closest he gets to humourous - and it's virtually as steely and cold as everything else he says. Brilliant.

WORST

"This party's over!" - Attack of the Clones, 2002

Lucas/whoever-thought-it-up was trying to turn Mace Windu into Samuel Jackson instead of the other way around. Bad, bad, bad.

First off, notice how most of the good lines are from the OT and the bad from the PT, minus some ROTS.

Best: I'm afraid this station will be quite operational when your friends arive.

Worst: Anakin - You are so beautiful
Padme - That's because I'm so in love
Anakin - No, it's because I'm so in love with you
Padme - So much that true love has blinded you?

That entire scene was not only the worst star wars dialogue, but was also meaningless to the movie and should never had been there.

 

Best: I AM the Senate!!
I hate you!!!!

Worst: even though I love 'em, alot of the things Padme and Anakin say to each other in Clones and Sith
