Lit Bloodline sequel?

So at the end of Bloodline, the Resistance is formed but the First Order is still an entity that Leia and co are not aware of. In the next cartoons, comics and novels leading up to TFA, the First Order and Resistance are well aware of each other. Is there a story I've missed where the First Order first makes its presence known?

 

No but there should be. Hopefully when Episode 9 is done and dusted they'll explore the years leading up to it with more literature, and another Leia-centric story or 2 or 3 or more by Claudia Gray would be very welcome.

 

I would like a novella at least....Casterfo busts out of prison just before his execution with the help for Greer and Joph in their bounty hunter disguised...gets the information that clears him and proves Sindian is set him up and gets her arrested. Last chapter has her being confronted by a FO sympathizer guard and tells her to commit suicide or she will be brutally murdered in the yard.

 

I want a sequel to LOST STARS even more than I want a sequel to Bloodline.

 

Yes!!! I wholeheartedly agree with this. It was a great book, with great characters. I’ve been waiting for a sequel ever since it was released.

 

Combine the 2....Lost Stars sequel with Bloodlines sequel novella as an added bonus.

 

Maybe Leia recruits Thane and Ciena - and they, as her agents, unearth the First Order fully?

 

Ciena should never join the Republic. It wouldn't be honorable.



Maybe she can find new hope in the First Order under Admiral Sloane.

 

FYI - Claudia Gray has said why there's no sequel to Bloodline OR Lost stars.

I think we'll get more books in the Post-Jakku timeline once we get to see the third movie.

Either that or they plan to do some movies there.

 

Last Shot and Alphabet Squadron have been published in the years since. I also expect the floodgates to open starting next year

I don’t know about an actual sequel. But I would like to see some of the supporting characters again. Greer, Casterfo, Joph, etc.

Same with Lost Stars, maybe we never get a sequel, but it would be a shame if we never see Ciena or Thane again.

Aside from the new movies and the material directly tying into them, these stories have centered on a few specific eras: between the prequels and originals (mainly around Rebels); comics set during the original trilogy; and a handful of stories that detail the immediate aftermath of Return of the Jedi from the Emperor's death at the Battle of Endor through to the destruction of the Empire he built at the Battle of Jakku a year later. If you're wanting to find out what happens next, however, you may be left wanting.

 

Know what'd be really nice? A Bloodline sequel that reveals the Rian aspect of Bloodline and how it links to TLJ.

 

Ciena would not join the Republic....Thane would go as Ciena goes. Like I said...2 separate stories. LS sequel that picks up where LS left off and gives Thane and Ciena a happy ending. Bloodlines sequel picking up several months after Bloodlines.

 

A part of me admits that he kind of likes the ending - that they don't get together.

But I don't think that's likely since the reason that would keep them together ends after the Battle of Jakku.

I don't think there was any suggestion that it would directly relate to anything in TLJ, just that Rian offered ideas. We don't know what backstory he generated that didn't make it into the film; I'd say he came up with stuff for the Prime Jedi certainly.

No...I stopped early in the Yuuzhan Vong nonsense. To me that is when the old EU started going off the rails. I still got stories from before then but couldn't stand the stuff after.
