Her Starbuck was a frustrating, irresponsible character that could really piss you off, but I thought Sackhoff did the absolute most with it. I believed everything about that performance.

I agree that she’s pulling off Bo’s crisis of faith well, and look forward to seeing more of that development. It’s maybe the best thing about this season so far. I think I mainly just don’t buy the noble family airs. She doesn’t strike me as someone from a wealthy family.

But there are still plenty of episodes left, and I have faith. This is the way.

Bo likely wasn’t originally designed or cast as Satine’s sister; Sackhoff’s American accent clashes with the English accents of the other Kryze family members and the rest of the Mandalorian Court, and I think Bo was initially just “flavor” added to the Death Watch’s redesign and repackaging into a more brutal and rough form in TCW Season 4. There’s also the way that Korkie was introduced as Satine’s nephew, then Bo was revealed as Satine’s sister, and only afterwards did anyone at LFL realize they should clarify that Bo wasn’t Korkie’s mom, and how ambiguous Bo’s age has been.

Luckily, I think they’ve sort of configured an ad-hoc background that fits Bo’s difference in accents, attitude, and lack of noble airs; we’ve got some rough evidence that Bo was separated from her family shortly into her childhood and taken in by Viszla in her teens. Just throw in some explanation of why she got separated in her pre-teen years and have her paternal figures after her father’s death not be “proper” noblemen, like Pre Viszla.

After today's episode end, still not sure what's Bo gameplan.
She could be the one behind Gideon's rescue.
That doesn't exclude the possibility of a "change of heart" once she saw the mitossaur.
Plus since Djin carries the saber, shouldn't be him the one to unite all the clans ?

The clue's have all been there since the second episode that her Mandalorian pride was being re-awakened and they showed how it was weighing on her mind every week. I think today's episode just showed The Armorer was the push she needed to actually go about and get it done.

As far as who was behind Gideon's escape, I hope they bring back the Imperial Supertroopers from Rebels. Definitely a rogue group of Mando's with them mentioning beskar though.

The problem i would have is that bringing those supertroopers back, at this point in time, the "normies", the casuals, all the people that never watched CW/Rebels may feel somewhat alienate.
I see many people complain about Marvel nowadays that follow the MCU became home work, how much of the previous stuff you have to know to understand what's going in the new movies.
The more they dive into the filoniverse, the more i can see people ( or normies) being getting confused because they never followed the animated stuff.

They didn't seem to worry about folks who didn't watch TCW/Rebels when they brought in Zeb for the cameo, haha.

So I'm sure "Imperial Loyalist Mandos" wouldn't need much explaining. It's not like they need to brief you in on who Gar Saxon was or stuff like that. Plus, it's just another group of bad Mando's to go against Bo, Din, and the "good" Mando's.

What’s confusing? “Some Mandos are dicks and are working with ex-Imperials.” That would take all of thirty seconds to establish.

I have followed just about everything when it comes to Star Wars so I know enough to get by. But even with that said. If Casual fans who may not be in the know are curious, they can always google it and get the short version. I still do that myself.

Don't feel down. Some people were predicting that Episode 2 was just going to be a side quest and we ended up on Mandalore and saw Din redeemed.

I've been watching TCW episodes related to The Mandalorian. I assumed Duchess Satine was a pacifist due to her relationship with Obi-Wan. Did Satine choose non-violence, bcs she refused to fight her sister?

Bo-Katan is quickly becoming one of my favorite Star Wars characters. Katee Sackhoff is amazing in the role, and I love Bo-Katan's dynamic with Din Djarin. I can't wait to see the finale.

Damn, they really couldn’t have me being 100% right and leave the darksaber[face_laugh]

But yes, I’m more interested in a Bo-Katan spinoff than another season of Din/Grogu again.

She has been good. I just wish they would address the fact she was once a terrorist at least once

One thing I was wondering is if it'd be appropriate if one day Disney Plus featured a list of picked Bo-Katan centric episodes from her earliest appearances in TCW through Rebels and up to the important Mandalorian ones. I do think she could hold her own as a main character in a spin-off show. If Din is out roaming the galaxy as a bounty hunter once again, he's got no reason to make a pit stop anytime soon back on Mandalore. So how else would we know what's going on there? The fact that Gideon's Imperials were defeated relatively easily by the Mandalorians must be relayed back headquarters at some point, so it may not be the last time they'll get invaded.

I think avoiding that reality is going to perpetually hold her back as a dramatic character.

She hasn’t actually had a redemption arc as much as we’ve just had her past fade into the background.

I think it would almost be to jarring. They should have brought it up soon after she was introduced

The only people who really remember her as a terrorist are long gone except Ahsoka. She was originally aligned with Death Watch, yes, but clearly was back to being Pro-Mandalore after Maul took over all the way up to “now”. Even the Universe went from Old Republic, to Empire, and now a New Republic that clearly is struggling.

Add to that with how scarce Mando’s are now, ~30 years later from Pre Vizsla, I don’t think there’s really any character left to bring that point of view from. Even the loyalists were abandoned however long ago and still kept their oaths to her.

That's the key, 30 years have passed and Bo has matured into the leader she is now. Bo's seemingly taken on board what Satine had tried to tell her all that time ago, even if she doesn't follow it to the letter.
