Boga?

lol, a fan club to this hideous creature? Hm...

I bought the Boga toy today. Way cool!

Now, let's get this fan club started!

 

Should've exploded for a direct hit? Are you guys forgetting that these are the same movies in which artilery style blasts barely manage to knock branches from trees?

 

Boga was awesome! I would've liked to see the scene where Obi-Wan picks her out.

 

^ The #1 deleted scene I'd have liked to have seen in the movie.

 

Boga was great, but referring back to the biggest problems of Episode III were the cut scenes, and the scene that was cut of Obi-Wan using a Jedi mind trick on the Veradactyl rancher to acquire Boga would have been cool.

Boga rocked more than anything. The scenes with her and Obi were my favorites. Her cry is so awesome, I could just listen to it forever.

The Boga is the coolest SW creature, it seems like an animal that could really be out there. Half Dragon half Bird and cute as a button!

Last night, I think I heard Boga's bark during the scene where all of the Wookiees stand up and start screaming. Could Burtt have also used the sound for one of the Wookiees?

Anyone else hear it?

 

Boga was the highlight of the movie for me dude. That noise he made is like the sound of the whole universe singing at once.

1) There was no need to change the sound of the Krayt Dragon to the Boga in Ep 4. That's one of those unneccessary changes that GL just loves to make.

Anyone who only watches the movie wouldn't know what a "Krayt Dragon" is. It makes more sense to use something actually in one of the movies.

2) Why not have him ride a Krayt Dragon in Ep 3 instead of making up this new and very annoying creature?

Maybe because Lucas never actually created the Krayt Dragon. The Krayt Dragon is an EU creation and anything EU is can be nullified by Lucas himself. That's why I never liked EU in the first place. It can always be changed or contradicted by a future Lucas film (at least when we knew the prequels were coming). So the Krayt Dragon is probably going the way of "Jaster Mareel."

3) I wish we had scene the Boga go splat on the ground and die a horrible death but instead we see it land in water and probably survive.

The Boga probably died. I guess Jedi are able to survive a fall like that even though it's against the laws of physics. Well, Star Wars isn't even reality so whatever.

4) Why the heck did it have to make so much noise??? It was excruciating to listen to!

So, I suppose your solution is to have a completely silent creature? Really, the sound the Boga makes is no more excruciating than the arena animals on Geonosis.

 

I luv you Boga! Boga is cool, agreed? And oh yeah, he did make that sound... and all along I thought it was a kyat dragon...

 

I think adding Boga's cry into ANH was one of the best things done to the OT. That was so awesome

 

I like reading this thread, I neither hate nor love Boga.

I think it's becoming more evident with each new Star Wars movie that SW fans are easily annoyed.

 

the sound of the boga was ok.... it just made the sound too often, so it got annoying

 

I loved the sound and the way Boga moved. Very cool.

And as far the suggestion that a krayt dragon should have been used, that's ridiculous because:

1.) As far as we know, krayt dragons live only on Tatooine.

2.) Krayt dragons (again, as far as we know) have never been tamed and are extremely vicious.

3.) A krayt dragon would have been too large to move through Utapau's narrow trails, unless it was a juvenile.

 

I absolutely loved Boga.

Poor Boga. So sad when she died.

Is there any Boga merchandise? Whoever suggested the plush Boga is right on. I'd buy one in a second.

 

Burger King will have a very cute small plush Boga premium. The premiums come out in waves, so you'd have to check the Burger King thread in the Collecting forum to see which wave may be out.

Boga rocked it!!! She is almost as cool as R2-D2. I was looking for a new icon and I had to have Boga. She was beautiful and brave. She was what Padme should've been like in this movie. She gave her life for Obi-wan.

Count me in for the Boga fan club.

BTW, BK Boga comes out next week.
