FF:NSW Boycott Phantom Zone Comics

Due to (IMHO) the unlawful sacking of Store Manager Jaydeefett, I will be cancelling my standing order, and moving my considerably large amount of sales to another comic retailer (most likely kings).
I urge all FFNSW members that shop at any of the Phantom Zone Comic stores to boycott the store and to deny them sales.
JD was the best manager, Bondi Junction, and i dare say all of the stores, have ever had.
I for one will not be supporting a shop who make bad business decisions. (with one notable exception, Microsoft Xbox )
BTW JD, when you are settled into your new place, let me know, and i'll bring my GameCube around.

Well, i've never bought anything there, and I don't intend to. Consider it done!

 

In that case, are there any other comic shops in Parra or further west?

 

Uh, well I usually go to Kings anyway, but occassionally go to PZ in Chatswood. I'll be sure to avoid that as much as possible...

 

I don't buy comics, so you have my boycott!

JD, if you still work and you wanted to get your own back, you should have placed a large order for some SW:TCG, guaranteed not to sell

 

Or several large boxes of Barbie comics.

Um...no offence or anything, but since PZ is the ONLY comic store ANYWHERE near me, I can't really boycott it. Sorry.

 

oh god that reminds me! i haven't picked up my standing order in like 4 months haha, and i got a warning about it last time....awww i want my Toy Fair.

Well once but it doesn't count because I went and she followed, but other than that, nope.

 

By boycotting the store, i either have to find another comic store, the next closest one is Kings at fox studios or stop buying comics all together.
Once the statues i ordered come in, i will be cancelling my entire standing order, which works out to be approx. $500 a month give or take a couple $$$'s

I haven't spent that much on sw stuff ever since i bought 4 boxes of cards back in 2000, and that was 6 weeks wages

I have on order a Mace Windu and ObiWan Statues that look awesome, they are also limited editions. Plus LotR pewtor figures, and Ultimate SpiderMan 13 DFE signed.
And possible my Young Justice Superboy and Impulse statues to add to my Robin statue to complete the set.

 

the reason i was given was that i wasnt managing the store the way thought it should b managed, and that it should b making more money! considering bondi junction is very dead at the moment with half the shops closed down for renovations its no wonder that the store gets no business!

i was given a pay out check and then told to go home that very same moment!

Also i understand that one the kings staff members is looking to open a new independant store out west somewhere so mayb sum of u could look into that. if u have no choice but to go to phantom zone i would suggest the chatswood store as the manager out there is a good guy (his name is ABE) and although u would still be lining my old bosses pockets u would also b doingabe a favour!!!

That area of the top of spring st has been going mondo nuts over the past few month,s first kfc went and renovated, ditto then the bank on the corner, the arcade right at the top on bronte rd just was just demolished, when that thing came down it created a dust cloud bigger than aussie stadium.

Bondi is really going downhill lately.

what does the manager of the Chatswood store look like? Because i've been seeing 2 different guys there lately. One of them is alot nice than the other.

I like the guys at Phantom Zone Chatswood. I admired a poster in the window once, and one of them gave me a copy for free.

 

What stinky said. It's tough luck that they laid the blame on you JD. Don't worry, with management as poor as that, they shouldn't be able to last long.
