So you are all overjoyed that Cad bane might, so Rumor says, be of a near-Nemoidian species?

 

I don't like the term near-neimoidian since humans and chiss could also be called that and Cad Bane is neither.

I suggest a proper system where "A human is a measure of everything". The chiss are near-humans, neimoidians are near-2-humans and so on. Cad Bane would be a near-3-human.

I've said it before, and I'll gladly say it again: Gallandro. Cad Bane's entire existence will be justified if he's gunned down by Gallandro.

I have an idea for the first book of the new continuity. It takes place not long before episode VII. Luke has recently suffered massive head trauma on a recent mission (the details of which are to be revealed through flashbacks over the course of the book), and the Alliance of Restored Republic Confederations (or whatever the ST calls the new government) has hired Cad Bane to be his bodyguard as he recovers. Some dialogue from the first chapter:

Cad Bane: I need to know what I'm working with if I'm going to keep us both alive. What do you remember from the last 35 years?
Luke Skywalker: I had a wife - Mara Jade.
CB: No such person exists.
LS: And a son, Ben.
CB: Never heard of a Ben Skywalker.
LS: Han and Leia had three children - Jaina, Jacen, and Anakin.
CB: Those are not the Solo's children's names. I think you are confusing Anakin for your father.
LS: Rogue Squadron led the charge to take back Coruscant.
CB: You mean the guys in the snowspeeders?
LS: There were these alien invaders from another galaxy that used biotechnology.
CB: That doesn't even sound plausible.
LS: Abeloth?
CB: I don't even want to know what you think that is.
LS: There was a blue skinned alien Grand Admiral who threatened the early government.
CB: All blue skinned aliens are Duros.
LS: Like the ones I saw in Chalmun's Cantina?

For a working title I am thinking 'Star Wars: Cad Bane Contradicts the EU' (SW:CBCEU), but they will probably have to come up with something snazzier.

 

..these are the people who published a book with the acronym SWEARHAT, a snazzier title isn't necessary.

 

I'm laughing so hard right now.

 

Reading this, I can hear Cad Bane's voice in my head.

PS: The Alliance of Restored Republic Confederations is a great name for the "New Republic".

 

Well, it better not literally be an "Alliance of Confederations", otherwise it'll be so inefficient as to make the New Republic under Fey'lya look vigorous and efficient. So just make it that in name only, and we'll be fine.
