Waiting for work schedule, will know next week.

Just found the old thread on this, Caffe Primo Plympton was suggested. Do we want a change of venue? That being said, I'm sure the view at Semaphore is better than the view over Anzac Hwy.

Edit: now I see, the last one was actually held at Plympton. Semaphore sounds good (unless it's already booked).

Plympton didnt have what Semaphore has, joined to a pub. When we went there last we were able to move into the lounge area in the pub and use the comfortable chairs to sit and talk till after midnight. Plympton was in and out, then find someones place to go to. The Owner at Semaphore was so helpful and welcoming, told us to come back anytime and even to make the place our meeting base. So we thought it would be a better place to have a SAFF event, as it doesnt have to end with dinner.

Danger danger Will Robinson

Sounds lovely. I'm prepping for my new work at the moment (and that weekend will be after my first week) so I'm already frazzled. A nice evening of food and a couple of bevvys will be just what the doctor ordered. Hopes nothing else is on then

That being said, if we ever do a dinner at Plympton again, the Highway Inn across the road has been renovated, so it'd be a great place to pop by afterward. I worked in the front bar there for about 5 years when it was a full on dive, a typical bikie/druggy pub (as well as working in Rumours aka Grab a Granny on the weekends ). Boy has it changed though. They've just had several million $$ worth of renovations and it's bloody marvelous what they've done with the place. The front bar now has an outdoor lounge area (with an 8 by 8 foot TV!) and the food is delish. Good thing I live a short walk down the road now

Yeah I am a bit mad, but I wouldnt share mine either. When DV and I did our fanfilm at skool I almost resorted to beating people away with it, cos EVERYONE just wants to hold it, but NO ONE understands the word 'NO'

Also the new Highway Inn is excellent as Skipp said, I was there for a mate's birthday a couple of weeks ago. But obviously not suitable for a SAFF event
