IC: Darth Vulcanis

Smuggler's Point, Coruscant

Darth Vulcanis, once the heir to the mantle of the Dark Lord, stood atop one of the very buildings that Lord Darpa had been worried about; of course, Vulcanis, nor his team, knew this. Five men, each wearing shiny metallic Sith armor, last seen en masse in the horrendous Jedi Civil War, stood around Vulcanis, blaster carbines held at the ready.

Vulcanis himself wore Sith armor, although it had the gold epaulets of the leader; instead of blaster carbine, he held a heavy blaster pistol, and at his belt was a red-bladed lightsaber, its hilt made out of silver with diamonds ringing around the blade end.

Almost towering behind them was a Corellian light freighter, idling, piloted by another member of the Army of the New Korriban. Vulcanis looked at his small unit, "Gentlemen, let's move."

With that, the six men, silent, knowing their mission and its dangers, headed back towards the light freighter and boarded it. Vulcanis walked towards the cockpit, exuding calm, "Captain, take off and begin pursuit of that craft. Under no circumstances is Team Blood Trinity to escape, understood?"

The captain, always a little nervous when Sadow spoke so firmly, nodded and began flipping switches and activating portions of the ship. Within seconds, the discus-shaped craft was already lifting on its repulsors and turning towards the upward mobile Enforcer Patrol Ship.

Sadow activated the holocomm and dialed in for the Sniper's Song:

"Sniper's Song, this is Darth Vulcanis of the Army of the New Korribamn aboard the Corellian YT-1200 Freighter Pride of Sadow. We wish to aide you in the capture of Team Blood Trinity."

Congrats to all that won! You all deserve it, everyone of you. Glad to be a part of an award winning series, with a bunch of award winning players. [face_dancing]

Sidenote: Endra looks like this.

IC: [link=http://img68.echo.cx/img68/7788/zzzzzzurahara1kc.jpg] Keskay[/link]& [link=http://img185.imageshack.us/img185/5756/haman047mb.jpg]Haley Qubey[/link],Endra

Just as Haley had suspected, it wasn't long after their arrival back that she was able to convince the crew to follow her over CarbonEye. After all, they had failed CarbonEye and she offered them protection from his wrath. They figured they would be killed going back to him. But with her, they had a second chance.

"Lady Haley," the main gun operator said. "We have that area targeted. All new designated friendlies have left."

"Very well. You may fire when ready." she said as the turrets on the front of the ship lit up with fire, spewing the lasers down to the surface and leveling both facilities to the ground. She turned to Keskay. "I'll need your lightsaber, as well as your coat."

Keskay handed them over to her with a soft chuckle, "Now don't go betraying me now that you have my weapon."

Haley smiled, "And what would you do about it, Master?"

"I'd take this ship with me." He winked as he made his way off the bridge and to his designated room.

Now they waited...waited for CarbonEye to take the bait.

Anemone had listened to the briefing intently. She nodded her head in approval of her assigment. Sniping wasn't her favorite job, but the prospect of getting her hands on this new rifle had her giddy with excitement. As soon as they were allowed, she quickly made her way to the ship's armory and found the weapon.

It was truly remarkable, long, and slender, its barrel wide. One would think, by looking at it, that only one very strong person would be able to lift it without trouble, yet as Anemone put her hands around it and tried to lift she was surprised at the lightweight of the machine. Removing it from its casing she found that it was nearly as tall as she was. Quickly, the went through the different modes of vision, looking through her backpack with the x-ray. It was truly a remarkable bit of weapons manufacturing. With this, she was ready to cover the team.

IC:Berix Kallos/Cortania/Equipment room

"You kid, will go after the mad bomber herself, Lash. The profile on this girl is limited, but it's the best we have on any of the suspects, so use extreme caution. Intel guesses she prefers bombs and gagetry to a straight fight. Employ the Commandos to neutralize any 'surprises' the little one has in store and apprehend her. It could be best to outsmart that one instead of just Ronto-rushing her straight into a bomb up your Choobie or something." Berix took all this in carefully and stood up whiping out his datapad, he turned to Joss "Little intel, its good enough for me, i'll se what i can do" and with that Berix stepped from yhe room heading for the equipment locker. He walked through the door and to the Jetpack, he fixed one on for size and weight, he took it off and layed it out on a work bench then took out a small tool "Little adjustment here, that goes there......switch that anehh....no, no that doesn't look right" he mumbled to himself for about 10 minutes while he tweaked and reconfigured his jetpack until eventually he got it just right "Yes, finally it looks good and works better" he fixed it on again and tightened everything up nicely making sure there was nothing lose or out of place, he placed on some armour and then took out his guns and looked at them "These need a tune up soon, but not now", spinning them round he holstered them again and waited for orders to get going.

Shalin was pleasantly surprised when the strange gentleman showed up with vehicles for the team.

Q Branch is able to reach us even here? How incredibly effective.

He casually saluted the mysterious technician as he vanished before their eyes.

"Now I see why they're so respected."

Cale turned to the group.

"We have a ride. Fearless leader, who gets the swoop?"

"The best ***** pilot we've got. Those things are deadly if you don't have the reflexes. It ain't me at any rate, it would be a waste of its speed."

He turned to the group himself.

"Any of you think you've got what it takes to ride this beast at full speed? And we're going to need a good pilot for the speeder too."

He turned his gaze to the Wookie pilot.

"What about you? Olonar seemed to think highly of your abilities."

OOC:
So, Uber-Ed, out of curiousity, what's the skiff like? Is it like the RotJ ones, or is it more enclosed (otherwise when the cloaking device activates it would be pretty funny). And is the cloaking device one of those double blind ones (basically, they can't detect you at all, but you can't sense anything), or is it more of one of the active camouflage ones (cameras around the vehicle that project what they ssee onto the opposite side), or something else entirely?

bojangles, nice equipment. "Hi, I'm Joss Vendu. I have a twenty-three foot long lightsaber and absolutely NO INSECURITIES!" :D

BartSimpson, I see you're branching off into Hellsing now... no fair stealing Serras' cannon!

... Actually, the rifle kind of reminded me of the SHIELD Prototype rifle from Ultimates Annual #1. Now that was a swanky rifle. A high-velocity rifle, 10x more powerful than any other file, as well as far lighter and more accurate, x-ray sight to a mile, and a bullet that phased through everything except the target (don't ask me how, but how else are you going to make use of an X-ray sight if your bullets can't pierce through whatever you're shooting through, kind of like the infamous Railguns). This has been another LightWarden diversion. You may continue...

nsper7, I assume that you got Dubya's approval, right? I know you mentioned joining in your post in OHMSS, so I'm just double checking. As is, you're hailing the wrong vessel. The Sniper's Song is the one we're going after (odds are it will explode though, IH is dangerous), though contacting your enemies and asking them if they want help in capturing themselves is a pretty funny move. And if you're Sith, you might want tokeep it down, we're not exactly pro-Dark Side here, even though some of the members are dancing with the shadows.

ERT post later. I'm not sure if they can hear Joss if he's broadcasting from hyperspace though. Although, once they can, Joss & Co should be close enough to help out. Why are you crashing the party? This is dangerous turf man, dangerous turf.

No, the roof is a good thing. Without it, the speeder would go invisible, and they'd just see a few agents hovering up to the palace. Which would actually kind of rock.

"We're a new mystical sect. All hail the Sacred Bantha."

"All hail!"

At least, I think that's what we're talking about. I could have missed the point again.

Too bad Pam was sprung already, I was planning for a rescue mission at Jabba's palace, complete with a series of mistaken identities based on the description of "Red Twi'lek". It might have even gone Seussical.

And what sort of mysterious things has IH planned for us? Could it be... a bomb? Probably not, as that would cost them their ship. Unless it's not their ship, but actually a decoy! And that's not butter!

*gasp* Bah bum, BAH BUM!

Anyways, more adventures with getting ourselves blown to pieces after I finish my school work.

OOC: I must apologize for what I am about to do as it is the first time that I have been forced to leave a thriving RPG such as this. My time is steadily growing harder to manage and must announce my resignation from the game. Do as you wish to Neida Guom and I really must say that I am very, very, very sorry for having to do this. I simply cannot give this thread the justice it deserves. Fair well, comrades. I look forward to reading your adventures though I will not be participating in them. Perhaps when the next installment comes around I won't be so tied up with life and other characters so that I may be able to truly post in this game as I never had the opportunity to do here. My apologies one last time and in the true maritime tradition, "May the Winds ever be at your backs, fine ladies in your company, and a good blaster at your side." Adieu.

Outside bay 14, Smugglers Point docking facility, Coruscant

IC: Detectives Crickett and Tibbs, lots of coppers.

Down on one knee, heavy DI-5 slugblaser pointing at the ground, Crickett gazed through the archway of yellow sandstone at the ship inside. There was no sign of anyone outside the ship at this point, and the vessel itself had ion cannon fire from a burgundy-coloured Republic Cruiser raining down onto it, lightning crackles of energy skittered across the surface.

His partner handed him a human-style headphone set, a tinny voice reporting: "Confirm Approxiamately 90% of ship's onboard electrical systems have been disabled. Hull ionization dampners protecting vital systems including life support (active) and door control (no activity).
Thermal Scan reports no lifeforms in ship proper, however, a thermal sink is active in the cockpit area and has survived ionization blasts. Sensor Readings as to the activity and / or occupation of the cockpit area are being blocked by the sink, and-"

Detective Crickett stopped listening at that point, his thoughts inexplicably drawn to his youth. He'd been a keen sports-being back then, even representing his herdship against other Ithorian city-vessels.

His thoughts coalesced into the view of the fantastic 'Tafanda Bay Cheerleaders', those tight jumpers, bright yellow pleated skirts, but, but, it wasn't what they were wearing that drew the attention of his minds' eye, but what they were saying, and what they were doing.

"Give us a T", they chorused, and immediately formed the letter with their bodies. Great stuff.
"Give us an R", they sang.
"Give us an A".
"Give us a P", they giggled, gleefully shouting, "What does it spell?"

"Trap." Crickett murmured aloud, then he refocussed on the Snipers Song, eyes widening. "It's a trap."

"Crickett? What?" Asked Tibbs, looking from his partner back to the Coruscanti officers nearest him and back again.

The lead detective waved at his companions. "Its a trap, fall back. Fall back."

Tibbs had no idea what had prompted this change of heart in the former high-school sports star, but with the rising volume of approaching air transports, he decided to go along and damn the consequences. "INTERPOL E.R.T., this is Detective Tibbs.

Hold off your descent. I repeat, hold off your descent."

While he spoke urgently into the headset, his partner rose from their cover crossing to a closed door in the opposite side of the arch, and kicked it in, and disappeared up the stairs he found on the other side.
Tibb's place was backing up his partner, so he dropped the headset without hearing the response and plunged in after Crickett.

His sandalled hooves taking the steps three at a time, Tibbs pursued his partner, his gun leading the way with both hands on the grip. He reached a hallway that ran off the stairwell, and stuck his head around for a quick look, shouting his partner's name.

An answering call led him into what looked like a controller's office, a horseshoe shaped bank of computer equipment, an empty chair, and someone lying on the floor, arms and feet bound, a bit of cloth stuffed in their mouth...

IC: Detectives Crickett and Tibbs, Bay 14 controller.

Crickett was already down on one knee, untying the captive, his sidearm stowed in the shoulder holster.
The gag was extracted first, the old wrinkled man, babbling with near hysteria, "Don't hurt me!"

"It's alright, we're police officers. Who did this."

"They're madwomen, I tell you. They're headed for the thrust despersion levels."

"The what?" Tibbs asked, while his companion dispensed with the bindings.

The docking bay supervisor gave them a potted history of space travel as he was freed, and rose to his feet. "This place has been serving the starships of the galaxy for a long time now, and before repulsorlifts became the norm, vessels used rockets to decelerate. The heat that the engine thrust created was dispersed through run-off channels in the landing pad. The people who tied me up said they were going there."

Both detectives knew that the chances of their quarry actually doing what they had told this man was about fifty percent. It could be a diversionary ploy. Crickett however, had other fish to fry.

"Sir, their ship is still on the pad. You must have dealt with starship accidents before. Is there a blister shield we can put over the vessel, to isolate any fallout from the engine going critical or something."

Tibbs went pale, which on an Ithorian is pretty interesting. "You don't think..." He could not bring himself to complete the sentence.

Crickett looked back at his partner. "These are bombers, right?"

The controller had hobbled to his station, and deftly manipulated several controls.

"It's done." he announced. "That ship can blow as much as it likes, and the surrounding area will be safe."

He and the investigators looked out the thick rectangle of transparisteel that separated them from the landing pad. An opaque dome of bright luminous green energy was spread out over the craft berthed on the landing pad obscuring it from view. No-one immediately noted that the Republic Cruiser had disappeared too.

Crickett smiled with both mouths. "Sorted."

"What just happened?" Yoda asked. "And why is the sky green?"

Having went alone out into Mos Espa, Sirius was able to find a particularly good little store to get him some new gear. Using some credits he had recieved from the agency account, Sirius was able to grab a used polymesh fiber armor which was form fitting and gave him a great range of motion for all his joints, something that he cherished. Although the armor was used, it looked great for a long time merc that he was going to become for his time on Tatooine. The armor was mostly colored black but it looked like it had been through hell. He had also purchased two brand new blastech dc-44 blaster pistols that were specifically modified for further range, more accuracy and faster shots per second, in which Sirius was particularly pleased. He had also grabbed a shiney new katana vibroblade in which he had on his utility belt as well. Topping it all off with a blood rabe cape which came down to his calfs. It wasn't something he would usually wear but he felt like it add to the mystique of his character. After quickly changing and burning his former M15 issued clothes that he wore to Tatooine, he made it back to the spaceport where he found his teammates, as well as a amazing looking new speeder that had seemed to arrive out of no where.

"Wow, where the **** did this come from?" Sirius said flashing a smile towards Shalin and putting a cigarette in his mouth. "That's a nice looking skiff we got there. So, when in the hell are we heading to Jabba's?" Lighting up the cigarette, he took the box of them and offered one to any body who had the bad habit like he did.

We have been inundated with calls from viewers planetside, as well as elsewhere in the Republic, including this one from the agricultural planet of Baar."

The other head, Beed, took up the story. "Mrs Ralla Carfax, writes, 'My brother is a government agent, so I know about these things. It's a trap, it's a trap, Sacred Feth, get those officers out of there.'" Beed continued in his normal voice, notching up the gainess, and you can read that how you like, "Well thank you, Ralla. We passed your concerns onto INTERPOL, and they thank you for your concerns, but say they have the situation under control."

Fode took up the reins. "Good news though, Ralla. For being such a plucky young being, you win tickets for yourself and your family to the Sector-famous Galactic City Opera House. When it re-opens, anyway."

The presenter put his/their upper appendages together to mark the end of that slot, and turned to a different camera...

Tag: no-one, unless anyone is watching.

OOC: Cheers to Livi for the use of Agent Carfax' sister.

IC: Darth Vulcanis

Smuggler's Point, Coruscant

The holo of the Darth Unlucky quavered and then blinked out completely; Sadow hit the side of the holocomm, "We've lost signal! Damn!"

"Uh...sir, you might want to look at this!" the pilot yelled; Vulcanis looked up, the sky was a pallid green, light emanating from the Smuggler's Point hangar. He could see down into the hangar, could sense the Coruscant Police, even knew the deadly mistake they had made, albiet saving themselves.

"PULL UP! PULL UP!" The pilot wasn't fast enough, Sadow wrenched the control from his hands, jerking upwards against the gravity. Seconds before the true disaster happened, Vulcanis sensed the beginning. Crickett and Tibbs, by activating the shield, had saved themselves from fiery destruction, but, that very shield merely directed the explosion outward, like an amplifier narrows and directs the sound waves.

Flames shot out of the hangar bay, englufing everything in its radius, setting buildings on fire. White magnesia light engulfed everything; Sadow clenched his eyes closed, but his pilot wasn't so lucky, blinded instantly.

"HELP ME! IT BURNS, IT BURNS!" tears streaming from the pilot's useless eyes as he lurched forward, bumping Sadow, stunned by the enormity of it all, out of the way and pushing the control stick forward, starting a spin.

The explosive shockwave blew windows out for miles around, knocked vehicles off course, sent people tumbling down. It was like a giant's hand grasped the Pride of Sadow and shook it and tossed it like a broken toy in the midst of a petulent child. Sadow flew from his feet, hurled to the floor. The freighter slewed across the sky, craping the sides of buildings. The cockpit glass flew inward, catching the pilot across the neck, his head was falling down into the dark abyss of Coruscant. Blood splattered the cockpit, making Sadow's silvery Sith armor look marred and splotchy with rust.

Everything seemed to fade in and out, the horrendous noise, the light, the shaking, it all stopped with almost mortal finality. Anton Sadow, the one-time heir to Dark Lord's title, a Corellian Baron, the great leader of a new Sith Order (aka the Army of a New Korriban), shook his head, the metal of his armor grating and shrieking; something had been misshapen.

Carefully, Sadow peered out of the busted cockpit and carefully crawled out, pulling himself to the roof of the junked freighter, now half-buried into an office building. The freighter started to rumble, drooping somewhat. He looked back, the crash site was unstable, soon it would all be over.

The rumbling grew deafening, cracks started forming, running along parallel along the freighter. It deepened, the half that Sadow stood on dipping more and more. Then the breaking point hit, it all fell to the abyss. Anton Sadow jumped forward, the Force propelling him, and he strained outward, his armored fingers curling around a metal outcropping from the dead freighter.

He hung by his right hand, feet dangling over over the seemingly endless darkness. His left hand was just too damn heavy to reach up. Damn, this armor's heavy. His right hand began slipping, the armor pulling him down. In seconds, it would all be over...he would be falling...falling...

Yet he still clung to that jagged outcropping for dear life...

Courscant, The Cortania IC as Joss Vendu

Cortania had autopiloted the starcruiser to the surface of Courscant and through the many winding levels of traffic to arrive above the ruins of the MI5 building.

Joss discerned from the tactical feed INTERPOL's discovery aboard the vessel deemed Sniper's Song and swore aloud in frustration. Apparently, no one knew where the suspects where at the moment, so Joss intended to find out.

A tight, cold feeling whelled in the pit of Vendu's gut as he turned to comm Nifesta and Lim, "Agent Nifesta and Analyst Lim," he said over the emergency channel. "Just what in drokking hell is going on? Any clue just where our suspects actually are?"

Joss Vendu was just itching to start the chase for Adder and his cohorts. Just him and his fellow agents among the fight. It was strange just how comfortable it felt to be engaged in combat with a tangble enemy. None of this computer robe and vibrodagger poodoo, just a face to face fight with a living, breathing foe. That was Vendu's release, a place where he could do his business. And his business was (not what you all are thinking!:p ) to fight and win.

Joss was all set and ready to go as he picked up and passed out the jet-commando helments to his team. They were polished black and fitted with removable rebreathers for high atmosphere flight.

OOC: OKAY, PROBLEM ENCOUNTERED

There is now a green shield dome over the Snipers Song and the Darth Unlucky.

Since the latter ship is under the shield, to them only, the sky is green.

To everyone one else, the sky is the same color. 'Kay? Frag.

And although I love nsper7's post, it has no basis in whatever should be going on, so don't react to it until the source of his explosion is confirmed. Now off for the evening due to RL.
