Only 19? you typed well, with respect us old people LOL have had enough of 2016 but it is with an honest heart that I thank you--in SW galaxy we lost 2--

 

Rest In Peace, Carrie. It feels like we've lost a dear friend and, to me, she's royalty...always.

 

If we can take solace in anything, it's that she lead a phenomenal life, and her personality and spirit, not to mention everything else she put into the world, are eternal.

And speaking of Nimoy, the day I found out Leonard Nimoy had died, I was wearing a black shirt. Today I learned about Carrie Fisher's death, and I'm wearing a black shirt. I'm beginning to wonder. Is it just Wardrobe Irony, or did the Force tell me to wear a black shirt?

 

the thing about Carrie is that no-one else could have played Leia the way she did , I mean there's plenty of 'kick-ass heriones' nowadays , but a lot of them are interchangeable , Carrie brought her unique sensibility to the role and created an icon .

3 days left. 3 days. I was already sending my condolences to the family regarding Carrie's death but still I sincerely hope they are well. I feel immensely sorry for Billie, she's had to deal with her mother's death and her grandmother having a stroke within a day of each other. I don't know if I'd be able to handle that.

Follow Natalie Portman's example instead. I think we all feel the same as her at the end of this year. But we will grow stronger in 2017.

 

Sitting here bawling my eyes out. RIP Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds. God, this is so tragic. Condolences to their family, friends, and many fans. Special thoughts go out to little Gary and Billie.

Debbie Reynolds, like her daughter Carrie Fisher, was a cultural icon, and a wonderful person. She led my favorite song in "Singin' in the Rain", and like her daughter, her talent went far beyond the silver screen. A talented singer, voice actress, theater performer and avid film lover, Debbie, like Carrie, was a person who was larger than life, who reached for the stars, and took life with a smile. Their passings are unbelievably heartbreaking. Two cultural icons in two days, and mother and daughter no less. I can't imagine how the family must be feeling right now.

May the Force be with both of them, always.

oh god , I kept seeing things today saying that Debbie Reynolds had passed away and I was thinking that they'd misinterpreted "Carrie Fisher daughter of Debbie Reynolds has passed away" , and then I realised - no Debbie too has passed !
