Well,merchandising wouldn't be hard,as they already have those shorts he wears as boxer shorts out now. Trust me,just go into the mens department at any Wal-Mart,Target,or whatever and you'll see them. I call them Mango shorts.

I would love it if they made a Sully and Zazu movie. Gotta love Jimmy Fallon's Boston accent.

 

SNL just needs to stop? When was the last time they prodiced a star? Mike Myers?

ANd what was the last sketch turned film that was a hit? Waynes World?

If there was anything more recent, please correct, but...SNL STOP! It's just not funny.

 

yeah, the sketch into film formula really has worked very rarely...

but whether will ferrell is considered a "star" or not, he is definitely one of the most hilarious people of all time.

Skits like Mango are funny in small doses, but not for 90 straight minutes. I don't think SNL has realized that, so they keep churning out movies. Although I have to admit, Mango is a great skit!

I agree with most of you guys, SNL just dropped so far down the drain. It was still pretty funny when molly shannon and cheri oteri was there, but now there is just too little talent. I have gotten really bored with the show already, I stopped watching it, I watch mad tv now witch is like way funnier. I heard that corky Romano was a good movie but I am having second thoughts about a mango movie, I mean look at superstar...it was the funniest skit on snl for a while(because it was only like 5-10 minutes long) when they blew it up into a 1 and a half hour long movie people just got bored and left< (or got really really bored and went to sleep)SNL should either shape up or make way for mad TV cuz it's like 10x as funny.

You'd of thought that they would have learned that lesson after making movies for "Pat", "Stuart Smalley", "Blues Brothers 2000", "The Ladies Man" and "Night at the Roxbury" but Noooo. They have to keep making these putrid things. Now a Mango movie. Good God this is a definite sign of the apocalypse.

And don't mention even the remote possibility of Mr. Peepers getting a movie. Don't even give them the idea. What next? Jim Breuer's Goat Boy?

Chris Kattan is so unfunny I change the channel everytime I see him on SNL. Its amazing to me how he has lasted so long on this show. If you ask me he dosent have a funny bone in his body. Oh, and he automatically kills every bit he is in by his presence alone.

I actually like the Mango character...but not for a movie. The skits with gath Brooks were hilarious! But Peepers definately should have a movie. I just wish they wouldn't ruin great SNL sketches.

I do agree with all of you regarding the fact that Mang:the moive, is a retarded retarded idea, but you guys are way too harsh. Chris is a funny guy, in fact he is one of the only talent left on SNL. I have already gotten so Board with everyone else on the show(excluding will Ferrell and Ana Gasteyer) I already switched to watching mad tv. He is a very funny comedian though, it's the studios who offer him these kindad deals, it's their fault. He is not famous enough to turn down any major motion picture movies thrown his way. Besides he is one of the original funny people on snl, Molly Shannon, Chris Kattan, Will Ferrel, Ana Gasteyer and Cheri Oteri are the only people who were funny enoguh to make me laugh, we should blame the writers and the othwer corny people on the show. I don't think Jimmy Falon is funny at all, or Tina Fey. Besides aI just watched corjky Romano and I liked it, I cansee why some people really hate the movie, But I liked it.
