i don't think that children these days get enough days off for Christmas i mean there is a lot to do and this year we have school practically right after new years i do not think that anyone is really going to be to thrilled.[face_coffee]we would need major coffee breaks between classes. what we don't need is breaks between sentences i mean everyone can figure out what you mean even if they have read what you wrote three or four times it's not really a big deal i do not think that breaks between sentences are necessary

Wow, I didn't know there were any 13-year-olds on this board. When I was 13 (ELEVEN YEARS AGO!!1), I got two weeks of winter vacation. It was never any different for me. This isn't new.

Yeah, but you get shorter summer-- er, winter, you damned southerners-- vacations. :p

Wait, what? When I was in high school we only got a vacation from Christmas Eve to New Year's Day. That's only one week of school.

In college it depended on how late my last final was (and also when my two study abroad spring semesters began). I got between 2 and 5 weeks depending on the year. But we all know that college > high school

I think it was like 4-5 weeks in winter that I had off, and at least one year, I just used that time to visit summer instead. So, I'm glad the break was that long. Although part of that was the days off for President's Day, Columbus Day, etc. leading to a large winter break.

I think the entire world should take a paid break between Thanksgiving and New Years aside from those folks what keep the lights, tv, and internet going.

I think in grade school I got about 10 tens off (counting weekends) -- went by fast. In university I got 4 weeks off because there was a winter session. Now THAT was a proper break.

My daughter's big brain college gets a little over 3 weeks off. Ironic that I work retail and will work non stop.
