I was always more of a fan of the Lugenfelter Corvette a few years ago. Twin Turbo powered LS7 motor with the option of removing all the Lugenfelter badging so no one would know how much power it really has. Kinda like taking a Brabus Mercedes benz E class wagon with ridiculous HP and tons of torque but still look like a grocery getter.
A friend is an executive with the local Porsche/VW organization, he gets to bring home something exotic from time to time, last werkend he took me for a spin in this Gesendet von meinem iPhone mit Tapatalk
Get out. McLaren have announced the MP4-12C and 12C Spyder are no longer to be produced. The company will focus all efforts on the new car, the 650S: http://cars.mclaren.com/featured-articles/mclaren-50-new-3.html
Bold lines with the headlamps and the vents there. Certainly is to be commended for that. But I still find it amounts to a somewhat boring whole. I liked the 12C better.
While we're talking about this stuff, what does everyone drive? I have a MY2012 Volkswagen Golf GTI in tornado red, 6 sp. DSG transmission. I opted not to get leather seats because the Mk 6 had the plaid pattern known as "Interlagos" as standard - the same pattern, more or less, as the Mk1 Golf from Back In The Day.
Our "family truckster". Never in a million years would I have thought that I'd drive a French car, but I have to say I'm pretty pleased with it.
Beezel has had one of those infinite number of monkeys with typewriters moments... the e type jag is an achingly pretty car It's not beautiful compared to other Astons, but I also have a fondness for the DB5. It's a man's car.
The first slot racing car set I ever had had no controllers, you just turned the car on and it ran on its own. Pretty lame, except for one thing -- the car I had was a jaguar E.Type. Green, of course. The set got thrown out long ago, but I always kept that car on a shelf. It was gorgeous. As for the DB5, I dare anyone to post a view of the rear.
I too have a British Racing Green E-Type model; a Dinky 1:43. Sadly it's convertible, and not a fastback:
Here's another beauty; I took this photo at Museo Ferrari in Maranello, North Italy. There are more images earlier in the thread: As the caption notes, this is Steve McQueen's 275 GTB4 Ferrari. There's a room with, as you can see in the right of the frame, film strip images showing Ferraris from various movies (i.e. the 355M that Onatopp drives in GoldenEye is one of the images) as well as a replica of Enzo's office.
I sincerely expected this: Disappoint. Me, I drive a Toyota SUV that's not even worth picturing. But what I'd really love to have is this There's just something about the neo-classic look of this muscle car that makes me want to have it, regardless of its practicality and MPG.
Dude, I don't care what you try to tell the rest of the JCC but a DSG is an automatic. No matter what you tell yourself the paddle shifters are just glorified Playstation controllers. You are pretend shifting. Yes, the plaid pattern is a throwback from long ago. I should know I used to work on VWs and know about your vehicle. My brother and I had a few from back then.
beezel26, please never post in this thread again. If you weren't you might have noticed how, in earlier pages, I cleared articled how a DSG is, in fact, an automatic. And how it is, in fact, not a manual. So your attempt to critique is, in fact, a waste of everyone's time... like every time you hit the post button here. You're not welcome in this thread any longer, so please stay out of it.
