I wouldn't call that a continuity error. Clearly Vader is intended to escape at some point.

Yeah, but that probably will require TFUIII, which I believe isn't going to happen, so at the moment, it is [face_whistling]

besides... what were they thinking when they decided... lets make Darth Vader a prisoner of War...

But I digress away from TCW...

Right now it's just a currently unknown portion of the timeline, not an error.

But they were taking him to Dantooine. Why then, is the presence of a Dantooine base a surprise to the Empire, especially its evacuation.

Or maybe Vader was just silently laughing at Tarkin the whole time.

Tarkin: "This is because I was rude to you at the citadel, isn't it?"
    Vader: *nods*

He didn't hear them say they were taking him to Dantooine, while they could always have changed plans and taken him somewhere else.

Fett got stiffed on his bill and didn't tell Vader where the Rebel base he rescued him from was located.

Except for the brief time where it was Star Trek: The Original Series Timeline Discussion. Good times were had by all, and by all, I mean few.

I wonder if they are bringing Darth Maul back just to kill Ahsoka?

I was hoping Maul was going to be a head in a jar.

It seems that after-Mortis-silliness, first found at the LACWAC, has infected this place. So why not try something super-silly to have it out? Then everyone can return to normal.

Give A Logical and Creative Retcon to Problem The Above User Presented
I start with "How come we can see both day and night on one zone on Ryloth?". Next one answers with something like "The borders between Twilight and Night Zones are not line-drawn, they can wiggle a little during seasons". Then he presents something like "Jango Fett killed Gardulla before the Clone Wars, how come he's still alive?"

    For insurance: :p :p :p

Maybe I missed it, but all I saw were a bunch of generic Trandoshans.

This isn't continuity related, so please forgive me... I feel kind of bad right now. My son adores Anakin Skywalker. Loves TCW... and we just watched ROTS together. Anakin becoming Vader makes him sad. It's one thing to know that about him, but it's another for his little 5 year old heart to see how it happens.(We hadn't watched ROTS in a while) :_|

That said, I can honestly say that at his point I wouldn't mind them throwing in a cameo by Captain Rex into the march on the Jedi Temple scene. Or maybe Rex turns out to be the guy talking to Bail when Jett Lucas is killed.

ROTS is more emotionally packed when you have TCW with it. I think it mostly would have come off way less corny to general audiences if TCW had been on TV the 3 years between AOTC and ROTS. Of course, that would have made the whole of the Clone Wars EU a huge mess. The EU is the main reason I felt more of an impact with ROTS, honestly. And there really weren't that many adventures of Skywalker and Kenobi depicted there. Much of Republic had them separated, they were rarely together in the novels. That left us with mostly the Clone Wars micro-series that showed them together as comrades-in-arms. Despite all the continuity and timeline headaches that TCW presents it does give us far more face time with Skywalker and Kenobi as brothers-in-arms. And to put Cody in that loop, really drives home the betrayal of the clones in ROTS too. We know that Cody has been as constant a companion and brother-in-arms for Obi-Wan as Anakin. Much as I dislike her, too bad Ahsoka's not there. Maybe a quick scene of her getting gunned down by Rex in the Temple for the Blu-Ray release...[face_whistling]

Except I suspect that Rex couldn't bring himself to do that to Ahsoka. We've already seen that he's willing to bend the rules for someone when he thinks they're genuinely a good person (the clone deserter living with an adopted family). He and Ahsoka have always been pretty close. I wouldn't be surprised if he isn't her loyal body guard out there in the post-war galaxy...

^How much more sense would it have made to have Ahsoka be the Togruta living on Felucia in TFU? Anakin's apprentice versus Vader's apprentice? Honestly, I would have liked that better.

How hard would it be to have a special edition of TFU released that changes nothing except the patterns on her face? Let Vader still call her Shaak Ti, let Starkiller believe she's Shaak Ti - then have her perfectly counter his reverse-grip Shien moves and have him ask her how she learned the lightsaber style taught to him by Vader - only to have "Shaak Ti" give him the "I am your father" moment that should have been in TFU. She could then reveal that Shaak Ti died at the hands of General Grievous aboard the Invisible Hand, but that Grievous had never managed to spread the fact around before getting cooked alive by the Negotiator. Ahsoka then disguised herself as Master Ti, fled the known galaxy, and stumbled upon Maris Brood later. She could even lie to Maris about her name, all towards the purpose of never letting her Master - whom she knows to now be Darth Vader - discover that she's still alive. The battle with Shaak Ti left Starkiller shaken anyways, and for no real reason. This would actually give him a reason to try to reach out for her as she fell into the Sarlacc's maw.
