I've just bought the Clone Wars guide for Lightsaber Duels and Jedi Alliance, and they are jam-packed full of continuity tidbits, which are quite intriguing.

Firstly, the order of episodes in the TV series (which may or may not have been clarified, I'm not sure), per the Campaign mode...

    1. Christophsis and Hutt Space arc
    2. Bothawui and Droid pair of episodes
    3. Gunray Arc
    4. Malevolence Arc (though Dooku apparently boards Obi-Wan's flagship while Anakin engages the Malevolence with the Y-wings)

Though from that, and the rest of the series, we're not sure how everything slots together. Considering that the Droid pair of episodes take place three months after Geonosis, per Wild Space.

There are a few continuity tidbits in the 'Challenge Mode', in the 'Challengers Motivation's, though its difficult to conclude where the Challenges fit into continuity, referring to Mace crushing Grievous's chest as a motivation for Grievous wanting to duel him, for example. But there are references to Ventress and Mace on Ruul, Ventress with Obi-Wan in captivity, Kit and Fisto's duel to the death, etc.

However, there are some indicative tidbits.

"During his first fight with Ventress, Anakin repeatedly strikes her with her own lightsaber," and continues about how Anakin understands he only defeated her using the dark side.

This places the old Clone Wars cartoons before the Clone Wars movie, at very least. :D Considering the furthest continuity reference is also the Malevolence arc, it could be argued that all the references to Jabiim, Ruul and Cestus place them all before the Clone Wars movie. :D

But there is something else quite intriguing, for Dooku's Challenger Motivations for dueling Ventress... "Knowing Ventress's assignment was one of Darth Sidious's double-edged schemes, her success in killing Anakin Skywalker would mean Asajj was a better replacement for Count Dooku than Skywalker, making her as much a threat as an ally."

regarding the old Clone Wars cartoons there's this new sweet diorama that has Anakin vs Ventress in Yavin 4. The odd thing is that anakin has his NEW Clone Wars costume and already has the scar in his right eye. I doubt that this serves has any kind of retcon but the statue is great nonetheless.

    here's the link.

Well, since Anakin was a Padawan in them, they would have to be.

As for the episode order- the game's order of events were a possibility up until the web comic for Bombad Jedi, which establishes that the Gunray arc takes place after the Malevolence trilogy. So, while the Nute trilogy was likely originally menat to be set between the Droid duo and Malevolence trilogy, it now has to be set after Malevolence.

The guide does add that Ventress was responsible for the scar above Anakin's eye, as well. So... that's curious.

It was awesome. Kit Fisto accidentally cut his own head off. As you can imagine, the head was furious. Kit (the head), proceed to levitate himself and butt Fisto (his body) to the ground, flaying him alive with his head-tentacles.

Or, alternately, Kit and Ventress had a fight to the death.

Well, that makes more sense, to be fair. Dooku's irritation with Grievous after Bothawui would be nothing to it after the Malevolence is destroyed.
