Ok I'm not much of an artist [face_worried] , but I expect Obi-Wan to have an expression reacting to the explosion outside the cockpit!
    [image=http://img72.imageshack.us/img72/9205/scanae3.jpg]
Then him having no expression at all.
    [image=http://img521.imageshack.us/img521/4817/untitledtp0.png]

I'm a real stickler about emotionless CG faces, like in Polar Express!

    Oh and here!

    The Clone Wars Panel Discussions

The first two panel discussions with The Clone Wars producer Catherine Winder and supervising director Dave Filoni have finished, and here?s a brief listing of what fans just witnessed:

First, an introduction to Winder and Filoni, with a great video short showing director Filoni wearing his scratch-built Plo Koon costume to the premiere of Episode III (before getting hired on at Lucasfilm).

    Interview details:

When Filoni initially got the call from Winder to direct The Clone Wars, he thought it was a joke staged by his friends. Winder assured him it was not, and proved it by letting him call her back on her Lucasfilm line.
Filoni got the job moments after his initial interview with Lucas. As a fan, he was just glad to meet Lucas and visit Skywalker Ranch just before the opening of Episode III.
Lucas is very involved with production ? he is mostly focused on the story. He and Winder both work on the scripts with the writers.
The episodes will be 22 minutes long, so as a result, there is opportunity for a lot of character development. The tone of the series is based on that of Episode IV ? in addition to action, there are also light moments and comedy.
In the new series, there will not be a ?Justice League of Jedi? as Filoni puts it ? the Jedi can?t do anything more than Luke, Mace, Qui-Gon, and Obi-Wan from the films. They can be vulnerable but are intelligent ? they need to think themselves out of situations. It will show how war was a challenge for the Jedi to fight, and how the moral principles they clung to began to disintegrate.
According to Winder, it?s not being directed as an animated series, but more like live action in terms of its story and cinematography.

Filoni then walks the audience through a series of slides which showcase some of the sculpture designs for characters such as the clone trooper, Anakin, Obi-Wan, Count Dooku, and General Grievous. They will share some of the stylization from the 2-D animated series but also some of the reality from the filmed saga. Filoni describes the style as ?leaner and more elegant.?

A video is shown which introduces much of the team at Lucasfilm Animation housed at Skywalker Ranch.

    Q&A questions revealed:

Lucasfilm Animation had nothing to do with some 3-D animated stills recently ?leaked? on the internet. They were fan-produced.
While continuity is being taken very seriously by the creators of the series, Lucas retains the right to make slight adjustments for the sake of the story. Filoni is extremely well-versed in Star Wars mythology and Expanded Universe, so rest assured it is in very good hands.
General Grievous will have a cough. When asked whether any of Grievous? past will be revealed, the only response is, ?You?ll be happy.? Filoni also says that when it comes to big legacy characters like Grievous, Lucas is consulted directly.
The series will debut in Fall 2008.
A lot of background characters ? from the films and otherwise ? will get to do a lot more.
The series is being produced in high-definition.
The audience was then treated to a preview trailer of The Clone Wars, which is currently available to view by all fans at the new starwars.com!

Stay tuned for a more comprehensive rundown of the The Clone Wars panels at Celebration IV!

About the clones not sounding like Jango: Are you sure that it is a clone shouting "-Here they come!"?

You can't expect a perfect voice match. Unless it's the actor who played the role. But, that ALMOST never happens in cartoons. Granted once in a while but not always.

Wow, this looks amazing! 2008 is soooo long away though!
I think a Dooku and Anakin fight will be a good addition to the series, and im sure the only way this wouldnt fit into continuity if Dooku said they had only fought once beofre ROTS.

Anyone have any idea how many episodes there will be? I hope they dont do what they did with the first clone wars cartoon, show it 5-6 months later in the UK and the US otherwise it will be into 2009 untill it is shown in the UK.

He didn't do the clone voices for the micro-series either so that should come as no surprise.

What about the character next to Anakin in the end (when jumping to hyperspace)? A little bit of red... a little bit of white... small "horns"... could it be Asoka maybe?

While I would rather have Anakin's encounter with Dooku to be the first time since AOTC, those lines are still open to a little tinkering within the meanings. In other words, they don't really specify anything.

I think you're trying to say that because Dooku says "TWICE the pride, DOUBLE the fall" - those words that indicate two, means that their encounter in ROTS was only the second time. However, those words are more linked to the fact that Anakin says "My powers have DOUBLED since the last time we met." Dooku responds more to what Anakin says than anything.

Now if Anakin had said something like "Last time you may have taken my arm, but this time . . . bla bla bla" then that would purely imply that thats the only time they've met. Granted, if that scene in the Clone Wars trailer was not a dream, its feasible that they've met, and Anakin could've still lost, but not nearly as bad as in AOTC. Personally, I'd love to see more Dooku, as he was criminally underused in ROTS.

I like the fact that Anikan fought Tyranus just once in AOTC then again in ROTS, but it is a new Star wars show and we should take it
as it is right? Plus, as long as we see other jedi/sith/dark jedi
fight , isn't that what we always' wanted?

Now where is that post that said he was 15% done loading a website with the trailer so us who can't view it can now see it?

I think you may be confused. The first Clone Wars cartoon was shown in the UK HOURS after it was shown in the US. IIRC, Volume 2 was actually shown here first before America.

Is this gonna be like a remake of the cartoon network Clone Wars or is this set after the cartoon CW in continuity?

Plus they meet and quickly duel in the Clone Wars game. Anakin is defeated, Dooku runs, Anakin follows only to see Dooku flee into a transport...

I still haven't been able to play the trailer directly from the official site. (Seen it elsewhere though.)

Do I need to download an updated version of a flash player or what?

I am using a MSN/IE browser with cable modem speed.

Never had a problem like this before.

Any answers or help would be greatly appreciated....

    YouTube.

Does anyone know what network this is supposed to air on? I remember a story on TFN ages ago about networks bidding for Star Wars, but I can't remember if it was for the re-released OT movies, live action or CGI CW. I'd really like to know because I, like the Aussie on Pg 2, am not from USA and I don't want to be at a disadvantage like we are with the likes of "Heroes" (1st episode aired last week).

I think with Lucas being at the forefront of the race against piracy, it would be really stupid to release this in USA at a different time to the rest of the world. That's why Clone Wars 1 & 2 on Cartoon Network worked so well, it's such a widely-distributed channel.

I loved the trailer by the way, truly fantastic.

No channel has been announced, they may not even have one. My bet is Cartoon Network, considering how wildly received the Clone Wars shorts were on the same network.

This is exactly what was going through my mind as I watched. Not that I don't enjoy the PT, I do, but I definitely found myself wishing this stuff had been included.
