Thanks bub, did some more work today I'll take better pics when it's done to show the differences between the browns
What are some popular clone troopers that haven't been officially released in 6 inch scale yet? (Basically, what trooper can I make that will sell quickly? haha)
I'm not familiar as to who has been made and released officially but I know Rex, Fives, Echo, Wolfe and Gregor has some following. I've been curious, what type of paints have you been using?
Rex and Wolfe have official releases I already made Fives and Echo so I'd rather make someone new (I suspect Hasbro will release them in ARC armor anyway) Gregor is cool but would need to be like 95% sculpted because of the Commando armor. That would def need to be a commission, sculpting all that just to have it sell for $40 at auction would be demoralizing lol I use lots of different paint brands, Privateer Press, Testors, Tamiya, Folk Art, etc. Brand doesn't matter though because painting technique is more important. Each of those brands have their own quirks, and if you have good technique/enough experience you can adapt them for use in any situation.
If that's the question, there's no reason I can see for using enamels/lacquers on these figures. Too many drawbacks and potential problems. All those brands I mentioned are acrylics with their own quirks (alcohol base, water base, additives, different viscosity, etc.)
Bah, made another one of these guys! If it only goes for like $30 like the last one, I'm just gonna keep it. https://www.artstation.com/artwork/1nBYaX
a look at how i make the cloth stuff it's white cloth that I dye with watered down paint, it ends up looking like canvas
