Come Hate Jimmy Page. **The Mindless Self Indulgence Appreciation Thread**

MSI, Mindless, Mindless Self Indulgence, whatever you call them, they kick right ass. *Note, it is the point of this thread that they are hugely obscene, so that link contains profanity by it's very nature. You'll see why in a second.* I love them, and I've succesfuly converted most of my friends, and take great pleasure in screaming through lyrics at 200mph as loudly as possible with said friends in the car. I love fast lyrics in general, ska has a lot of that, and I also really dig the sounds that these guys play with. Occasionally punk, occasionally industrial, occasionally thrash, occasionally jungle, occasionally rap...blended together. Godly peoples.

My sister also likes them, via my appreciation for them, and went out to buy their CD at Barnes and Noble. She's 12.

When my dad heard her listening to Track 8 on the above CD (can't write the title on the JC), he got this really...sallow...expression on his face, and asked her to give him the CD. Which was when I found him, sitting in our office, listening to the lyrics "Date me now, **** me later, sing it to the tune of ******, ******, ******!"

My sister is in junior high school, I recall being around all manner of profanity in Junior High, and often it was vulgar for the sake of being vulgar (this music is not.) (usually.) (well, sometimes, but Lords of Acid is worse, she could be listening to that.) My argument to my dad was that she's not listening to this ebcause they cuss, she doesn't need music to hear cussing all the time. She's listening for the music.

He let her listen to it. Yay for freedom of speech.
