I found one fan in my area she is actually very nice. We can now start our own FF in our area hehe with a total of two members.

 

I got one started with two friends from school

You would probably need to start one yourself, to get more info on starting one you can PM me or an RSA for the Midwest Region (which I believe you fall under).

Starting a Fan Force isn't necissarily as hard as it sounds, I got help starting one from Earwen_Lightrider back when she was Spokane Fan Force's CR

As a former n00b . . . many years ago and a few user names ago I highly encourage you as a new person to the boards to see if there is a fan force chapter in your area. This is an excellent way to meet fellow fans and increase your social circle. As I always say "We don't bite . . . hard"

I'm the current Chapter Representative of the Charlotte Fan Force. We get together at least once a month for our book club. We also have board game events, movie outings, get together for book releases and anything else we can figure out to do to have fun.

We have folks as far away as Salisbury, Rock Hill, SC and past Hickory Grove who come to join us so we cover a wide area.

Hey we've changed our venue -

Now meeting at Alfie's Pizza (128th and I-5ish - pm me for details) on the first Sunday of the month at 6PM!

If you live close to Albany, Oregon, there is going to be an event there on Friday, February 1st.

There will be an event that starts at 2:30 and goes until about 3:30, and then there may also be an event that runs from 4:00 until about 5:00 or 5:15. The first event will be geared more toward little kids, and the second event will be geared more toward older kids.

Because of college classes, I will only be attending the second event, but I will be bringing lots of lightsabers, a surprise (if I can get it done in time), my Jedi robe, and a set of Mandalorian armor.

Nope, I live on the other end of the country.

 

I live near there kevin, what kind of event is it? (I mean besides being star wars ) though any event in a library i'm likely to be there if I can get a ride.

 

Ghent - Basically, it is a group of Star Wars enthusiasts who are planning on getting together and doing some Star Wars activities. I know that there is going to be a Jeperdy style trivia game, and I am going to bring lots of stuff to show, which will include but not be limited to a lightsaber display, dueling lightsabers, my Jedi robe, my Mandolorian armor, and part of my Star Wars book collection. I will be giving a presentation on the process of building lightsabers, and I will of course try to answer any questions people may have about Star Wars in general and lightsabers in particular.

guess I won't be there, there's no way I can talk anyone into driving me

Why?

 

Because Albany and Albany are on the opposite coasts. And Ghent is one of the members of this forum that I would really like to meet in person. Having one of maybe four people (Ghent, Dar_manda, MsLanna, Ruthie) who I would really like to meet in real life live within a few tens of miles from me would be a huge coincidence. Then finding out that it is Albany NY is just insanely funny in my book.

 

And the sad part is you get stuck with me!
