the best option for the most unique voices is to use our voice studio to record your own http://www.garmin.com/garmin/cms/us/ontheroad/voicestudio

those sites you listed are pretty much the main ones for finding pre-recorded voices.

I was waiting for quigon to post here. Is Garmin the one with SW voices? There are a number of celebs I'd like for my GPS. The one voice I would absolutely hate to hear is my own. lol

TomTom has thousands of free GPS voices, and some really cool ones that you have to pay for...

I used to have Garmin, but I'm much happier with my new TomTom. My GPS right now has a South Park theme with South Park start-up images, an Eric Cartman pointer, and Cartman's voice. It's not PG either. Cartman curses, accuses you of being "a worthless Jew" if you make a mistake, etc, etc. It's really funny...until it starts to get a bit annoying lol

I also have Donald Duck (that was fun for all of 10 minutes), the old pervert from Family Guy, various accented voices, a Cylon from Battlestar Galactica, etc.

Some of the cool ones that you can buy from them include Darth Vader, C3P0, Han Solo, Snoop Dogg, Homer Simpson, etc.

I hate this Tom Tom-SW Exclusiveness. I like the graphics on Garmin better than Tom Tom...

I liked my Garmin, but I feel like I just get more out of Tomtom. Plus, the free updates are awesome. When I bought my Garmin in 06 (or 07), Garmin was charging for updates IIRC.

    EDIT:

I think one of the advantages of my Garmin over TomTom was that sometimes my TomTom doesn't really identify the best routes--just the routes most easily accessible. I remember when driving in Miami, my friend and I left from the same location towards the same destination (me using my Garmin, she using her experience with the roadways), and my Garmin got me to the destination much faster. I was able to avoid traffic and everything, whereas she got stuck in traffic.

With my TomTom, while it features a bunch of novelties, sometimes its choice of route is kind of questionable if you already know where you're going and how to get there.

The first time I ever used a Tom Tom was driving through Tennessee set with the Sling Blade voice. That made for an interesting road trip.

yeah, tom tom does have the star wars voices and they are pretty neat and fun. once i made a wrong turn and darth vader had me go around a round about in Olathe. upon completing this he told me that "the circle is now complete"

a really neat voice on the nuvi's is our yeti which grunts at you for directions, the more you mess up the angrier it seems to get
