I was listening to "Princes of the Universe" by Queen and decided to put the song on during the Jango VS ObiWan in the rain scene... It is so cool and perfect too.

Post songs that go with scenes from episode 2

George should put this kind of Music in episode 3 ... I know it won't happen because it will be very weird but if he puts instrumental music that is a little bit better like with ... electric guitars?

anyways post cool songs that go with scenes from episode 2

Try watching "The wizard of Oz" with Pink Floyd's "Dark side of the Moon" Album.

    Interesting observation though.

It'd be interesting to find out what people think are good alternative music pieces to see AOTC with.

*twitch* Uhm, I'd prefer to see John Williams' score than just regular rock, pop, etc.

Hmm, Freddie Mercury's 'Who Wants to Live Forever?' reminds me of the love pledge in the arena...

Obi and Anikan get off the gunship and race into the hanger.

    Anikan:
Youre gonna pay for all the jedi you killed today Dooku.

    Obi:
We'll take him together, you go in slowly on the left...

    Anikan:
    No, Im taking him now!

    *Enter AC/DC song*
"You been," bum, bum, bum, "Thunderstruck!"

Plus, As soon as we see Darth Vader in full armor for the first time, play AC/DCs back in black while the camera slowly moves from DVs boots up to his mask.

    *jams on air guitar*
    DUN! Da-na Dun! Da-na DUN!
    Neh nener neener!

I have a way to improve the picnic scene too.

    Guns n' Roses!

"Take me down to the paradise city where the grass is green and the girls are pretty..."

....Oh won't you please take me home."

I mean hasn't GL always said you could watch Star Wars without the volume, just Music?

Well this seems to be a good way to do that :).

How about Ac/Dc's "Highway to hell" during the transformation of vader?

Thatd be good if we see a shot facing straight down with Anikan falling into the lava in super-duper-pooper slo mo.

"Im on the highway to hell..." Duh nuh, nuh, nuh, Nah!

How about lets just have AC/DC do the whole soundtrack for Ep3?

    Darth ANGUS! Yeah!

He faces off against a bunch of jedi all shrouded in this black cloak. Then he quickly tosses the cloak aside to reveal a his sith shorts and suspenders and his evil looking black sith socks. Not to mention his cool bowler hat when he takes his hood off!

How about Obi vs. Jango to "Riders on the storm?"

Or the first time when c3p0 sees the "perverse" droid factory, Pink Floyd...

"Welcome my son! Welcoooome to the machine!"

Ever tried playing Duel of the Fates over the ROTJ finale? I did it a couple of times back when Phantom came out, since I loved the theme so much.

I can't remember exactly how I ran it from, but I know I timed it to finish at the point where Luke lops off Vader's hand. The whole song runs pretty good, and that last minute runs especially well.

I'll have to try using some non-SW music now, to see what works well :)

losing his mother and killing the Tuskens..

    Orgy- Fiction
    Kamino and the Clones

Billy Joel- Why Should I Worry
Captain Typho lol.. so funny imagining that one..

I can imagine this one when Obiwan and Anakin are lying next to each other beaten up.. Obiwan gets up and starts hearing Its Not Unusual by Tom Jones.. he begins to do a little dance.. and all of the clones look at him weird. lol

It's a little embarassing but all this mixing AC/DC with Star Wars is quite cool!

I first tried playing "Thunderstruck" over Luke & Vader's duel in TESB back in 1991 or so. It only just barely worked, but maybe I should've timed it better.

(As a side note, I'd love to hear AC/DC cover Duel of the Fates, think about it, it would sound an awful lot like Thunderstruck...still you know that's one's never gonna happen)

Or how about Metallica covering Vader's theme?

Back on topic: oh all right, I'll betray by weakness for 80's pop metal: how about the intro to Tesla's "Love Song" during one of the Anakin/Padme scenes, probably the meadow.

I made a music video for class with clips from all the movies (except Ep3) that shows the downfall of Anakin. I.e. the video starts off with anakin as a boy, then the podrace scenes, then him in AOTC, then him killing tuskin raiders, then him getting his arm cut off, then him in ANH being introduced, him force choking the guy, then him in ESB blocking shots with his hand, then fighting luke, then in ROTJ fighting luke, then him watching his son die and finally him killin the emperor.

THe song i used was The REd by Chevelle. I have no idea what that song means but its pretty intense when watching the video hehe.

The Red is a great song! :D

For Anankin slaughtering all the Tuskens, I would pick What if by Creed

    The best line -

    What if you did?
    What if you lied?
    What if I avenge?
What if eye for an eye?

Oh, and The Red is about anger ;)

I've always felt that Patience by Guns & Roses describes Anakin & Padme's romance pretty nicely.

    During the battle of Geonosis...

    Guns n' Roses:
"We dont need your civil waaaaar....!"

I think when Luke finally starts getting the drop on Vader in ROTJ, It would be funny to hear "Ive got big balls! Ive got big balls!" by AC/DC.

    Suh-weeeet.
