Sweet Force that sent shivers down my spine. I really want a sort of Crisis on Infinite Star Warses now, with a battle with the Father of Shadows, to put a neater bow on the Legendsverse than we got.

Out-of-universe, Snoke and Father of Shadows could both be a nod to Leigh Brackett’s ESB script describing Sheev as wearing a gold cloak.

Re-reading this... I really want to try and make an audio version of it. Wonder if my girlfriend would do Tilotney's lines.

I imagine her voice as like Nika Futterman / Asajj Ventress.
the King in Yellow's voice... oh boy, deep cut, but the male Space Vampire from LIFEFORCE -

I think Titotney needs a different voice then Nika Futterman's as she's already Ventress and Darth Tannis. I was thinking more along the lines of what Jessica nigiri does for Cinder (Rwby) or Brittany Karbowski does with her tone for Misaka worst in A certain magical Index III

thats a good voice for FOS thou

"It'll be a lot less terrifying if you just come to me"
Caine is like "yeah... how about i impale you instead"

Are we sure the King is the FoS?

"The Humans, including those you have groomed, are mine to do with as I will, for it was our enterprise who raised them from their witless state in the earliest days.”

We are of that most ancient and advanced race of scientists. We have had many names at many times..."

“You cannot save these spheres,” the voice said from besides her, “but if you are clever as you pretend, and do not obstruct or thwart our way, a goddess you yet may be.”

I am thinking that this Yellow King in an underling of the FoS - Still immensely powerful, but still not as strong as FoS.

    Which is terrifying to contemplate.

Maybe whoever did Gozer's voice in GHOSTBUSTERS for Tilotney?

"We have had many names at many times; some have called us Aeons, Vrilya, Arcturians, gods… and darker names by those too ignorant to discern all that we’ve bestowed upon the universe."

Aeons are probably a reference to Gnostic beliefs: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aeon_(Gnosticism)

"Aeons bear a number of similarities to Judaeo-Christian angels, including roles as servants and emanations of God, and existing as beings of light."
    That's totally the Celestials.

Vrilya is a reference to theosophist beliefs: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vril

Arcturians would be related to the star Arcturus: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arcturus
but could also be a reference to Edgar Cayce: -https://www.bibliotecapleyades.net/vida_alien/alien_races01a.htm although Cayce's Arcturians are described as wholly benevolent.

Something about vril and Edgar Cayce being canon in Star Wars does not sit right with me.

I always considered the concept of Vril to be basically the Force.
As for Cayce, he was a "Prophet" of sorts, maybe his abilities were tied into the Force and he was seeing these things?

I'd say this is slight above a "fanwork" but also not canon. Especially since the recent excerpt comes from what's being referred to as a "restored section" - i.e., something that was taken out before one of the times it was going to be published and later heavily rewritten. If Hyperspace never went offline, if Star Wars Gamer hadn't been canceled, we probably would've gotten some version of Supernatural Encounters.

I don't see how it has to be anything more than a shout-out, either.

Top left looks like a starweird. Bottom left and the middle two remind me of The Thing, which I think would be most like the Mnggal-Mnggal in Star Wars.
