I believe there was also discussion around trying to schedule the RMFF group photo when Cory could make it. What is his schedule? We should probably also consider the photo schedules for other clubs such as RL and 501st, as some of our people will probably want to attend those as well. When is the 501st? Kim told me when the RL photo was the other day, but I've already forgotten.
From the SWCA forums: Since the RL photo is Friday morning, I'd suggest Saturday morning for ours. gra-co_o_hun will be joining us Friday night and Saturday night, right? So he should be able to make a Saturday morning photo.
I only have a ticket to Celebration for Friday so I won't be able to join you for the photo. Sawww-weeeeee.
Well, that would depend on where we have the photo, right? What if it were done in a location where you don't need a badge? Or is it that you won't be around at all on Sat morning?
I decided yesterday (cuz isn't last minute after 3 yrs planning the best time to make decisions?) that a scooter is just a good idea for getting around the convention center and not ending up in a pile of pain and injury by Thursday afternoon. (Note: It was super easy to book, if anyone else was considering this.) Now, the challenge is, navigating the crush of people in a scooter! Does anyone have any bright ideas or experience with this? :-D I am also looking for last minute scooter decoration ideas, if anyone has any!!! Its too bad I can't dress this rig up like a speeder!! I am, however, working on a way to secure my light saber and to Sith costume or casual pseudo-costume a day or two. :-D Going to make this work! There's no way to not have fun at Celebration, right?!? (Unless you find me lying trampled under my rolled scooter at the entrance to the exhibit hall, in which case, please guilt-trip Lucasfilm and Disney into burying me at Skywalker Ranch!)
nnaydolem is getting one, too, and Grimby is her designated medical helper. They have special badges for both of them. I'd suggest checking with ReedPOP about getting badges for both you and Geoff.
Thanks! We have secured a medical badge for me, with Geoffrey (breadnappa/Zalathustra) as my helper. I was a bit late to the game, but I am very thankful to ReedPop for making this option available and that friends have convinced me (after a lot of coaxing) to not be dumb and use them vs spending most of the trip and the months following confined to quarters from overdoing it! Maybe I should organize a speeder jousting and racing contest! Although, not sure if getting my badge revoked would be the Celebration memory I want to have.

I really want the C-3P0, but you have be a GG member to pre-order it, and says it will ship, which kind of defeats the purpose of a show exclusive. I have no idea if this thing will actually be for sale at the show.
While I like the McQuarrie bust, I think I'll stick with the 3 3/4" version I picked up at CVI. It's a much better fit in my Hoth diorama.
Maybe it's just me, but when the exclusives are reproductions of badly designed figures from the 70s, it seems obvious they're scraping the bottom of the barrel. Thank goodness there will be tons of new stuff to make collectibles of starting in December.
Getting back to the question of the RMFF group photo... 1. Anyone know if Cory will be in town Sat morning and able to join for a photo (even if without a badge that day)? Or is he limited to Fri only? 2. Is anyone planning on the all-SW-costumes group photo on Fri at 9:00am? 3.I assume we will have a couple of members going for the RL photo on Fri at 8am. Is anyone planning on the RL Pilot photo listed as Fri at 8:30?
My tentative plan is to go Porkins on Friday, and Rancor Keeper on Saturday. Maybe a Darth Vader appearance at some point. I'm going to love having the hotel right there
1 - gra-co_o_hun will not be able to make it Saturday morning. However, our alternative of Friday morning is the same time as the Rebel Legion photo, which we would lose people to. His schedule demands he head back before Saturday morning. Also, nnaydolem will be there by Saturday morning. We will have to have two RMFF group photos: one Friday evening at dinner/festivities and another Saturday morning. A Facebook event invitation for Saturday morning should be coming imminently. 2 - Not I.
I will be in Tustin on Saturday, about 20 minutes away and most likely in Orange County the rest of the day but trying to get back down there and park and find You guys?... I would be holding You all up from valuable time at the Con so I will be saying my goodbyes Friday Night.
