ST Daisy Ridley (Rey) in Episode VII

Yeah, I definitely could sense a bit of Han's mischievous attitude in the footage I saw of her from that show.

 

I found interesting the fact that of all the cast members Daisy got to meet, it was precisely Harrison Ford the one he mentions. Hint, hint?

 

Not as big a hint as the "half-royalty, half-action star" comment because that greatly implies she's Leia's daughter rather than Luke's daughter.

 

I think I'm most excited for Daisy just because, well shut your mouth JJ, she's a mystery. As soon as Oscar Isaacs was cast, I went and watched Inside Llewyn Davis. It's not my favorite movie in the world, but from what I've seen, I like the guy. I'll probably go watch girls to get a bit more on Driver and brush up on Boyega. Aside from some odd youtube bits, there really isn't a way to do that for Daisy. Our first big reveal of her will be Star Wars, and I'm fascinated by it. So Daisy, let's get an interview!

 

My guess is that she will be the emerging protagonist. A lot of people have been speculating that Boyega will be the lead, but the story will likely focus on the Skywalkers/Solo's. Since its a forgone conclusion that Han and Lei will be married. this will be the kid.

 

If Daisy is Leia's daughter, I hope she closes her eyes every time she fires a blaster.

Also, it's not a rocket science to guess on the money that she will play Han and Leia's daughter, so even if it's spoiled, nobody really should act all that surprised and raise hell about it (In another words, make a big deal about it).

Apparently Mr Ridley had managed to give out more spoilers in just one interview than JJ Abrams in two whole years

 

WHO CARES? As I said, not a rocket scientist spoiler, even your non-Star Wars fan or someone with just 50 IQ could probably figure that one out or at least guess it was true.


The only thing is we are not confirmed or sure of it, but if the spoiler says she is Solo daughter, Whoopie Doo, people.

It seems semi-obvious! 99% of people probably won't be surprised, so if that's JJ's mystery box that's a FAIL.

Its great she is spending time with him to build a rapport. Hope she has had time to sit with Carrie as well. I am sure they have.

 

As a traditional, old-school Star Wars fan, I don't have a problem with Daisy being the "Luke" of the ST.

I have two daughters of my own and it will be great to see them follow and be inspired by this new character as I was with Luke.

 

I think we're going to be made to think that someone else will be the Luke of the series while Daisy is the Padme/Leia. But things will change. Daisy will have to take on responsibilities and journeys that neither her mother or grandmother ever had to. I think that will be exciting and invigorating to have a girl take on that journey and, at the same time, watch Daisy grow as an actress like Hamil did.

If Daisy is the central character in the ST - do you think she will dance with the dark side??

And then have force ghost Yoda warn Luke of her temptations.

 

Since turning to the dark side is probably the major conflict in the whole Star Wars saga, it's a safe bet that some character sooner or later will follow that path.
The question is who will.
