ST Daisy Ridley (Rey) in Episode VII

If they can nail the characters and their interactions down, as I suspect they will, we'll be in for a big treat.

 

Interesting that their names are similar; Daisy and Maisie. It's cute.

 

I want to see her not only in the Falcon's cockpit but even at the famous chess table!

 

I want to see Chewie be over protective when Isaac tries to flirt with her

 

Lol, yes. We might actually see a demonstration of a wookiee pulling the arms out of their sockets

 

I'd actually really like to see the group utilize the smuggling floorboards again at some point in the new trilogy.

 

The Problem with that is that Isaac looks to old for her, she actually looks even younger then her age.

 

And this guy doesn't look too old for her?

 

The Han/Leia thing wasn't to bad because to me Leia doesn't look too young, whereas Ridley looks 15/16. (she looks like my sister who is currently 15, and imagining that with a 35 year old is just too weird).

 

I kinda agree with this. Leia always seemed older than her age, Han always seemed a little younger, so it worked. Meanwhile, Daisy looks younger than her age. Does anyone know how old she's supposed to be playing in this movie? I know she's actually 21, but is she playing a teenager?

Yes. And I can also imagine Han being very protective of his little girl where boys are concerned That's going to fun to see.

 

19 years after ROTS - so she and Luke were 19 in ANH.

 

Oh, sure. They need to be very careful with the callbacks and fan service. But you know there's gonna be some probably a lot. JJ loves that kind of stuff.

I just really hope they keep the Falcon for all three films. I want to see Daisy's character fly that ship.

 

Agreed. There's something about the Falcon that makes it feel like the "home" of the series. I know that'd technically be Tattoonie, but I think if you'd ask the characters of the OT themselves, they'd probably see the Falcon more as their home.

 

If she does throw the "I know" line at one of her parents, I hope it's Han. Serves him right. Besides, I'm afraid poor Leia might start developing a complex.

And yes, would LOVE to see lots of Falcon in these movies. And before we hand it off to Daisy, let's see Han and Chewie fly it a bunch. I'm still bitter that we got deprived of that in ROTJ.

 

Can't wait to see the Falcon for this reason. The PT felt a little bit empty for that reason.

My sentiments exactly; They need to make up for ROTJ. Han and Chewie belong in the cockpit of the Falcon. It's Iconic!

Anyways, I have no way I can speculate on her, since she's such an unknown I don't know what to expect. Not even knowing what character she'll play for sure doesn't help either…

 

I really don't think they'll keep the character names a secret for much longer. We'll probably get some confirmation either on Sunday or around the time filming starts.
