You should probably give it chance, and not expect it to be a carbon copy of the 1978 series. Just a suggestion.
Killjoys felt like they were trying to do Firefly. One distinction between KJ & DM, IMO, is that DM has a very sandbox world like SG or SW. They can pretty much go to a different planet or station every week if they want, even if there's a few recurring major ones. KJ is more self-contained in its world building, with, effectively, a finite number of worlds to visit and revisit. They'll add one here or there but you're mostly going to be focusing on a handful.
I can see that, I was talking more about episode/season structure though. And yeah, though I think they are hinting at things that are larger than just the Quad. I think they've dipped their toes into some interesting story in the premier. Personally, I found the premier of Killjoys to be more enjoyable than DM's.
My problem with nuBSG was the same problem I would later have with Universe, the drama with unlikable characters. The second part that was quoted was about Universe, not nuBSG.
So, was digging around some files while transferring them over to a new computer and stumbled across an episode of SG-1 I had in iTunes (the season 10 episode "Flesh and Blood"). And, by random chance, this happened to be an episode with a familiar face briefly playing Adria during one of her child stages: Just a fun little coincidence (though probably not surprising, given Dark Matter's Stargate connections and where it's shot). In more importance news, Dark Matter has been renewed for a third season.
Wow. How about that S2E10? Android is MVP. Certainly not a coincidence. She was also in the fantastic Stargate Atlantis episode, Harmony:
Alright everyone, it's time for the NEW SEASON! 3x01 is coming out today and I for one can't wait to watch.
Finally got to catch-up after being in China for the premiere. Interesting start... sorry Nix is gone for good, but at least my faves are still surviving...
It's too late! If I can be "claimed" for Wocky's Christian team and becoming atheist doesn't change it, then Wocky was claimed for Four and Four doing something dishonorable doesn't change it!
On many episodes they program her to be wicked so probably this is not at all her fault. She hated every moment of it I am sure.
The season has been pretty good so far. Really good double-premiere eps and even this weekend's episode being a little slow (and clearly more bottled) held some weight.
That season finale... on the plus side, at least we got Zoie Palmer's hometown accent this season (though it's not actually her normal one apparently)!
This show is still fun but I need to find a new honorable character now. The floor is open for recommendations.
I am out of the loop for most of this season, since my dad killed satellite a few weeks ago, so I haven't seen any of the Sci-Fi shows for several weeks.
