"His point is that Dooku didn't own the fight against Yoda due to the fact that they were evenly matched right up to the end where Yoda was about to gain the upper hand which forced Dooku to cheat his way out of the fight by dropping a pillar on Anakin and Obi-wan."

But, I was talking about Dooku vs. Obi Wan & Anakin. Where did the Yoda stuff come from?

EDIT: "Make no mistake, Obi-Wan, never had a chance; he just got lucky... plan an simple. (As I've said a million times; that was the worst ending to duel that I have ever seen - made no sense at all.)"

    I agree.

What would have made more sense (someone mentioned this in another thread) is if Obi Wan had done some kind of downward slice toward the end of that flip. That way, Maul REALLY has no time to react. THAT, I could have lived with.

...so true. Not only dooku, but vader/anakin as well.

Vader should be obvious to see, since he couldn't even breathe by himself, not to mention he could barely take down an old man, and got beaten by a VERY inexperianced padawan.

Maul is a cool fighter. Maybe the greatest pound by pound (in terms of strenght in the Force).

But I agree to the point that Maul has to die to show how great Obi-Wan is or to show he's the only Jedi presumed survive in ANH.

Maul would of beat 2 very competent Jedi if he wasn't so cocky. Maul had a chance to kill Obi Wan but taunted him and gloating... thus he was sliced in half.

So Maul lost, because this fatal (literally) problem of his. He can be extremely talented in gymnastics and swordsplay but if he get's sliced in half the games over no matter what.

I do wish Maul would of stayed around more but it's a relevant reason for his death. He was arrogant (most likely young) and Obi-wan was cunning and tooka advatage of this.

Tyranus on the other hand should have had more time to show his lightsabre skills rather than just slice arms and legs in a laughable amount of time.

Tyrannus's duel was more realistic, though.

People are supposed to be fighting to the death, putting everything they have into it. I much prefer the more Eastern 30-second duels to the 20 minute European ones. People would get tired, eventually.

The time is more realistic, but the choreography was not. Which kind of makes me doubt Dooku's abilities. But since he is revered so much by the Council, I take it he is tough.

I'd have to say that Maul was in his mid-20's. As for him in a match-up between Dooku or Vader, he doesn't stand a chance against either of them.

"Tyrannus's duel was more realistic, though."

How? Because it was closer to the OT's duels??? What is "realistic" in the Star Wars universe?

"As for him in a match-up between Dooku or Vader, he doesn't stand a chance against either of them."

Maybe not Vader(because of the "chosen one" crap-ola), but why not against Dooku? Explain yourself.
