It’s going to be hard for me to hear Plagueis voice and for it to not be Daniel Davis after his excellent audiobook narration.

And would the role be split between body and voice?

Amandla Stenberg worked it in her head and figured out Darth Plagueis was coming before filming.. pretty fun stuff in new interview. Do we think CGI or can they use both CGI and practical for this creepy Sith lord. I think they will have two people play him like Darth Vader. One for body and one for voice. And get Andy Serkis for Plagueis, his Snoke voice is soo good.

I’d imagine they’d use a mix of practical effects and CG for longer appearances. Something along the lines of what they did with the elder witch:

In fact, I suspect her main purpose for existing as such may have been to test whether they could pull off this sort of character on their budget.

It will be intresting how they manage a more clear look at Darth Plagueis in all his Muun form. And master Yoda will he be mix of puppet and CGI, look more like Prequel Yoda?

I doubt DP will have a large role. Probably as much as Ravencourt did in this season. Perhaps someone Qimir references about, but we never see him. He just needs an single scene or two where he has a few bits of dialog.

Depends how long this show last 3-4 seasons like Lesley Headland wants or just season 2. I think appears in the beginning middle and last two episodes.

Take a page out of the OT.

1: We see just his face very briefly
2: A scene or two of him where he understand exactly who he is and what he wants from Qimir/Osha
3: All out battle. Plagueis wins and sinks back into the shadows.

as someone who is a big fan of Plagueis, i wish we would have seen more of him other than just creeping in the shadows.
especially since, as of now, there's no guarantee for a season 2

Well, allow me to say I was glad he wasn´t retconned to be human so they could say Qimir is him. I am extremely curious to his role in future seasons but I am little flaberggasted about a plot as a whole at this moment, so I´m in tense.

I'm looking at it as the novel being able to remain intact if there end up being no further seasons of this show which could potentially begin to alter his timeline a bit.

Even if this does not get season 2. They now begin to use Darth Plagueis from before The Acolyte up until before TPM. I think like Thrawn they will change his story of the Plagueis novel like Thrawn in Heir to the Empire book will be different in the Heir to the Empire movie. Plagueis story will be more or less the same but with some differences.

If the show doesn’t get a second season, then I hope Lucasfilm at least releases a better look at the design Headland’s crew came up with for Plagueis. She seems quite excited for it, and in interviews clarifies they only wanted to show a little bit of it at this point. She compares it to Gollum’s brief appearance in the movie Fellowship of the Ring. But the full design is already completed.

I wanted to talk a bit about what we can tell about that design so far. Not much is visible, but here is a lightened version of that shot:

Here are few things I notice from this:
    • His skin is more scaly or at least textured compared to that of San Hill in AOTC.
    • His face, while very thin, is also wider than San Hill’s.
    • His eyes are set farther apart than San Hill’s and appear to be sunken.
    • He also seems to have rather prominent cheekbones and the skin around his face looks craggy or wrinkled. Perhaps a bit of the “Emperor’s face” effect?
    • He doesn’t have a flattened nose, as Muuns do in TCW, concept art, and text descriptions from the Plagueis book.
    • The lower part of his face is totally hidden, meaning he could have the mouth respirator that was also part of his EU design and initial concept artwork.
    • The hood of his robe seems to be more form fitting than those of most Sith/Jedi.
To illustrate that comparison, here are a few images of San Hill, the only other Muun we’ve seen in live action before:

So they’ll probably take a few liberties in terms of differences between individuals of the same species to make him look more menacing than San Hill or other Muuns. The design also looks unlike some of the alternate Plagueis designs from the EU, such as the versions with a nose from The Tenebrous Way or the cosplay-inspired art by Joe Corroney.

What The Acolyte’s design does seem to emulate more closely, though, down to the skin texture and close-fitting hood, is the iconic artwork by Torstein Nordstand that was used as the original cover art for the book Darth Plagueis:

Yeah. It seems a bit more this, than the older Muun designs. Ignore the blue as I think that's just the CG modeling.

I start to hear something out of Season 2:
"Lord Pharmaticus, I´m so angry! I told you to to bring two identical black girls, as instructed in the manuscripts of Darth Bane, so that The Master and The Apprentice can enjoy them equally at the same time!"

I wonder if Darth Plagueis will try to connect Osha and Qimir into a dyad in the force like he later tries with Palpatine and Palpatine tries with Anakin. Both are born of the force. Its now canon that the Sith ruled of two starts with a force dyad as its origin.

I think the nose is still flatish. We can't see the bottom of the nose but I don't think it's rounded or anything. I think it is still flat.

I actually really like the Plagueis design. I always disliked the Muuns in animated Star Wars, because of their noses. I'm glad the Plagueis design sticks closer to San Hill in AOTC in that sense, while still being different enough.

I like TCW design but would never work for a dark lord of the sith.

I also wouldn't work for a dark lord of the sith. I imagine there's exactly zero sick leave and vacation time in that gig.

Hey now we see in lego Star Wars, Darth Vader and Palpatine loves to go to the beach and Party.

He clearly didn't teach Palpatine all he knew though. Probably why Palpatine stabbed him in his sleep.
