I have to say, the best sequence in the final issue was this one. This is the best vision sequence in this Vade run. Equaled only by the Mustafar flashbacks Vader has when he's shut down by Cylo.

Vader says that line much better than Kylo ever did. There's something epic about seeing Anakin kill the entire Jedi Council.

    Singlehandedly.

"Let the past die. Kill it, if you have to."

I love that Vader takes out the entire council, I think he could do it too (once he sheds his machine for a pure Force form). But I think that is supposed to be Kylo's words echoing through the Force through time like all of the other caption dialogue bits in the issue and like when Ezra was in the World Between Worlds

Just finished this series. This is an absolute gem. I absolutely love the design of Anakin in the spirit/force realm. The final issue was a wonderful cap on the series. Momin as definitely peaked my interest and has really given me a vibe that feels familiar with something out of the Old Republic.

I'm really happy they didn't hold anything back with Vader. There was no sparing of lives really, he was brutal and filled with hatred. It felt extremely well executed in the way it dealt with his emotions during this period of his life.

I just finished "Fortress Vader" today. It was really, really awesome! The things that really caught my imagination were:

    - I loved having a deeper look at Vader's character and his struggles and difficulties.
    - I loved seeing how his truly murderous Sith self was born of seeing hope die (when he loses Padme again).
    - I thought the artwork was extraordinarily good, especially the depiction of his spirit self with missing parts. It's one of those archetypal images that will always stick in my mind.
    - I thought Soule's dialogue was superb. The line, "But if the greatest power in the galaxy is actually yours to control, why are you a stub of charred meat in a cape?" just blew me away.

I really enjoyed the new Age of the Republic Comics but this topped it for me.

So, I recently got the first volume hardcover from this series. It´s absolutely gorgeous... I was looking for a release date for the second one, including the mon cala arc, Tarkin´s hunt and Vader Castle, but I've been unable to find it. I´m guessing its a couple of months from now?

I keep meaning to ask; did we see Vos die in the WBW vision?

I'd say so. He's on the first two-page spread of Vader attacking the Jedi; there's a panel of someone with dreadlocks getting sliced in half. I don't think anyone but Quin has dreads among the Jedi Vader's facing there.
